Come one Oliver, we want you #1!

 

Uptown Funk is going to sell A LOT, without a doubt. There's so much of it going around on iTunes and its pre's are at #43 already, around a month of release. I hope Pro Green gets AT LEAST Top 75, and it seems like forever waiting for Ariana to grace the top 40! Hoping Sleighammer also gets top 75 too :D

 

Who said Sam Smith was up for another #1? :lol:

Anyone know why In Your Arms entered at #90 yesterday on the combined chart? I can't find it on the sales chart or iTunes top 200 so is entering early on streams?

 

It's at #71 on Spotify but I can't see its pre-orders on iTunes or when it's released on the schedule.

Is there any paritcular reason the Bring Me The Horizon song has done so well? It doesn't sound all that different to their previous stuff so what made this one go to #1?

I think most who are fans of the band have spotted a big difference between 'Drown' and their previous material - my friends who like them think 'Drown' is very "sell-out-y" and much weaker to their previous stuff. 'Drown' is their most commercial sounding single, has had Radio 1 support and the band is growing in popularity, so I'm not surprised it's done well (although my expectations of "well" was Top 20, couldn't of ever imagined them reaching #1 on iTunes!).

I see Google Play are selling a lot of the Christmas Songs at 19p, that should make things interesting on Sunday

But Uptown Funk is really, really, quite crap, really.

 

I'm usually really accommodating to different tastes as long as they are good examples of their genre but Uptown Funk is just a crap pop song.

 

But at least their fear of the XFactor leeching all their sales lets them burn off sales in a less than full sales week. Bring on Gorgon City. I'm going to push GC and JHud. Its perfect. :wub: :heart-old:

So much for it being the 2nd song to reach top 40 on streams alone! :(

 

So much for not having a consecutive #1 if the track returns to #1 in the new year :( if the track gets to #1 this week.
