Also don't forget the little trick from the xfactor people to add the charity component to the single, instead of making a separate charity single as in some previous series.

For once can we have a Christmas no. 1 to stay in the chart for at least 5 seconds? Or an actual hit that re-enters each year? Please don't do a Sam Bailey this year :drama: :please:
Where do you get this rubbish from, seriously? -_-

It's not rubbish. We are allowed to manipulate the charts but they won't count towards it. Only 10 streams per song per user will be counted

Just read that second sentence back before you post it. It contradicts itself.

Surely this is a contradiction in terms?

Good grief. First your absolute insistence that Nicki Minaj would have the #1 album this week, then that twaddle about how only people who own the NOW album are buying the Hozier track and then this.

I've actually given up responding to or trying to correct this poster!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on music and charts. As for Nicki Minaj, she won't get #1 album. She'd be lucky to make it top 10 on album downloads
No fluffy little white birds today, hoping we still get something later, as I don't think we be getting anything tomorrow, MW will have their annual office party :(

Very helpful for all of their subscribers, at the magazine I work at we had our Xmas office party in the evening so as to not limit content to paying customers!

But charts are not based on opinions. They are based on matter of fact circumstances and when analysing where an album may be placed we can look at several things: Nicki does not have a current hit to support her record, there is zero interest in the project, and you only have to look at Roman Reloaded's 47k debut coming off the back of a huge hit like Starships to know that she wasn't going to sell anywhere near as much as you predicted. This week 47k will more than likely not even get you into the top ten, so even if she did have a Starships-sized hit it would still chart far away from #1 what with the Christmas period effect. She probably will not be top twenty on Sunday.

I can't even comment on your logic on streaming because one person's behaviour would not impact the charts. In order for someone to 'overstream' a song they would have to listen to it for hours on end. There is not the time in the day and realistically how many people are going to do that anyway?

Hadji you make me laugh so much looooooool

I wont be surprised if Iron Maiden miss the top 40 altogether on Sunday.

Albums - Ed on 114k; Sam 71k.

At this rate, Ed could best his first-week sales

Just one piece on the OCC website about the Wealdstone Raider now being #13.

OMG this could actually go top 10 then http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ed2305b7.png will definitely be looking forward to hearing where this charts

I thought Ed Sheeran sold 1 million of his last album but can't see that on their list?

The key phrase here is "within a calendar year" :D

I'm impressed how fast is Wealdstone Raider climbing on iTunes, now at #3 and not very far from the #2 currently occupied by Ben.
