Yes I agree. The top 2 is selling both a lot of copies and will be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) selling point at #2 this year :o

 

The singles chart for 5 - 11 January this year had the highest one-week sales for a #2 single. It was the last time a #2 single passed 100,000 copies in a week

Would love to see Hozier finally break the top 20. One of the most under-rated releases of this year in terms of chart peak.

I definitely think Meghan Trainor has a shot at #1 so I a 1-2-1-1-1-1-2- run looks very likely for Uptown Funk.

Of the two "Over 25s" winners of X Factor, these have been their first week sales:

 

Steve Brookstein - 127,701

Sam Bailey - 149,000

 

With this in mind, Ben should do far better than both. He's probably helped by the fact he's at least 7 years younger than both previous over 25 winners.

Hmm. He could have just decided it wasn't Avicii enough and didn't want it out, but I like to think he's planning on releasing The Nights in favour. Much better song and by hell it better be released! Hey Brother #2!

Something like that, usually the clue is in the title Weds Update + Sales which means we have other chart info (pink fluffy dickie bird updates :D ), if the word sales is omitted from the title, the update is only limited to a top 40 from MW/Radio 1. :P
