Happy to! :D

As downloads were much smaller in 2005 I'd be inclined to give Shayne Ward the 313k as that was the first day of the CD release. Leona was indeed 101k for the first day on downloads alone in a stronger download market. Leon Jackson sold a mere 36,000 on his first day making him the slowest starter on the list, Steve Brookstein did 37,000 on his first day which was CD only.

Thanks. :D So Ben has received the seventh best start for an X Factor winner.

Longtime lurker here :P

Does anyone know where in the charts is You Got It All the single and the album both?

Ben is practically on the same sales as Joe's for Tues, Joe's total for the week was around 450k, not sure if Ben can match that, without reaching #1 though that was 5 years ago.

Hello, and welcome to BuzzJack! :D

Both have dropped out of the Top 40, the single is at 51; the album at 45.

Martin - Joe was up against the RATM campaign and massively increased in sales due to the publicity that race brought with it.

I know, Ben will be lucky if he clears 300k at the moment, I guess we have to wait and see how much he does later in the week, plus his missing sales from Amazon for Monday.

I'm still surprised he won: however, his first day sales are quite good.
It is drowning fast, down to 68.

Wow! :o thanks

I could have sworn I posted that request earlier but I can't find the post

I hope no one modified it :nono:

Really not sure what sales to expect from Ben. I would be delighted if he got 300k as some has said but when you compare how massive XF was in say 2009, I remember viewing figures if 20 million, must have been half that this time. Bearing that in mind and seeing other first day figures above, pretty decent so far.

Not quite 20m, but that series got 16 million for the final which is still double the amount achieved this year!

EDIT: Actually it peaked just under 20m so you're right! Incredible ratings!

It really was crazy then so bearing that in mind, Ben having the same on day 1 (if not more than Joe with missing data) is pretty good. The song seems to be going down well and getting a lot of airplay so hoping it sticks around a bit. Its my fav XF winners song after Alexandra and Hallelujah. Good choice for him.

Can someone please tell me where "Yours" is at in midweeks. I see Ghost at 20 but "Yours" isn't there? Did it fall out of the top 40?

Out of last week's top 40 are 17 21 31 33 34 35 36 40

Yours was 20 last week so it is definitely somewhere in the top 40.

'Yours' is down a place to #21, with none other than 'Ghost' keeping it out of the Top 20! :P

For future reference the updates other than Weds include the top 5, climbers and new entries to the top 40. On occasion they may post significant changes e.g. performances. Also recently Mart!n has decided to post position numbers of dropped out singles from the previous Sunday :D
