Uptown Funk will no doubt have a chart run of 1-2-1-1-1-1. I don't expect Philip George to quite topple it so I guess the next threat is Meghan Trainor...

Good sales for Ben but still about half of first day sales.Doesn't suggest a 2009 Mcelderry trend.

Does someone have previous XF winners singles Wednesday midweek totals for reference?

67k for Sam, 254k for James, 166k for Matt, 109k for Joe and 185k for Alexandra.

No data was given for Little Mix and I don't know the 2004-7 ones.

shame about lack of LM sales as that would've made a good comparison. I think Ben should be able to outsell their first week anyhow. At least it won't do a Sam Bailey

Here you go

36,600 Leon Jackson "When You Believe"

67,400 Sam Bailey "Skyscraper"

107,000 Ben Haenow "Something I Need"

109,700 Joe McElderry "The Climb"

166,000 Matt Cardle "When We Collide"

185,400 Alexandra Burke "Hallelujah"

254,713 James Arthur "Impossible"

Leona was just "Over 100k", Brookstein was on 60k, and Ward had not even sold 2k by this point!

I can actually see that Hozier track going top 10 (maybe even top 5) in the new year.

It's shocking that people who own NOW 89 are still buying this track

How do you know people who own Now 89 are still buying the track??

Presumably they're not. But aside from the 600k or so that own that and the 150k(?) that have already downloaded the song, that leaves a good 63 million+ people left to potentially buy it!

Strange to see it finally becoming a hit, it just seems completely ancient to me now. Very happy about it though.

Yeah Philip George isn't gonna contend for Mark's #1, I expect 'Uptown Funk' will keep sales above 100k for several weeks while 'Wish You Were Mine' probably won't come near that. Could be #2 though which seems very impressive.

The gap is annoying though, could have waited to release UF next week

The Days is outperforming my expectations :o

Maybe not that well, perhaps a '1' or two taken off the end there. Of course it's dependent on the competition and upcoming releases. I can see Meghan's next one getting a #2 or #3 for some reason

Yes I agree. The top 2 is selling both a lot of copies and will be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) selling point at #2 this year :o

Sia's Annie song already out of the top 40 :(

It was never there in the first place!

Despite the release being cancelled? :o
