I love that the OCC facts include Ed Sheeran's FIRST EVER uk no.1.

This probably isn't the best thread to ask this question - however, since the OCC will be giving us pretty much nothing this week we may as well discuss this here.

The last OCC figure we have is 2,054,862 up to 7 December, however that includes streams. The streams are ~27 million so using a bit of rough maths gives a total download/physical sale of about 1.784 million. It has likely sold a few hundred physical copies within that total, there was a 12" vinyl released earlier this year which I saw in HMV recently too.

Ok thanks :D I hope OCC tells us the physicals and streams sometime soon, or maybe not until it reaches 2 million

Why should I tell you my source? Take it or leave it.

Sounds like your source is sour cream.

Hozier's at #16 today.. that's all I know

Talking about the official Singles Chart, not your personal charts :drama:

Of course you don't need to tell anyone your source because YOU ARE THE SOURCE

As we may not get midweeks here are some predictions I feel like throwing out there.

01 (01) Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars)

02 (NE) Wish You Were Mine - Philip George

03 (03) Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran

04 (05) Up - Olly Murs (feat. Demi Lovato)

05 (02) Something I Need - Ben Haenow

06 (04) Blank Space - Taylor Swift

07 (08) These Days - Take That

08 (10) Outside - Calvin Harris (feat. Ellie Goulding)

09 (06) Heroes (we could be) - Alesso (feat. Tove Lo)

10 (15) Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

Although, All About That Bass will probably be #10 instead.

Can we predict next week on this same thread or will there be an introduction to new releases etc. even though unlikely there'll be midweeks :nocheer:

Things should go back to normal next week - the Official Chart Update on Radio 1 returns next Wednesday - so try keep discussion generally focused on this chart. :D

Sales for Happy: 1.5 million

Sales figure for Happy: 1.62 million.

And by the way, to whoever said that, no it hasn't surpassed Mull of Kintyre.

Thinking Out Loud:

Sales: less than 744,000 (estimate 735,000)

Chart sales figure: 1,010,000

Stream sales (estimate): 275,000

Streams: 27,500,000

No disrespect but as a newbie I'd like a non-edible source for that info :P

If that is correct then wow, that difference in sales to points for TOL :o :drama:

Straight from the horse's mouth that belongs to OCC

Sales for Happy: 1.5 million

Sales figure for Happy: 1.62 million.

Not forgetting that "Happy" also has sales from 2013

Well I don't check OCC News very often

Chart positions 3-6 looking very interesting for Sunday atm. Very little between them all on itunes and swapping places on and off through the week (Ed,Taylor, Ben,Murs) Ben ahead on Amazon and has some physicals though not as many as first couple of weeks. Streaming will probably move Taylor down a place as it's so close.
