Ooft we were so close to a stagnant chart with that last tune but now we have the PHRESH HITS comingggg

In all seriousness, it's hard to believe that people out there have only heard this for the first time this week and thought "ooh I'll buy that"!!

This must the first time other than Mariah and The Pogues that a song has appeared in the one year retro and this week's chart!
It was released in mid 2013 I believe. It just took a while to take off. Let Her Go took several months after its release before it took off as well.

It started to take off worldwide after a really good Grammy performance in late January, the record label started to push the song after that.

That Kanye song was....a bit painful on the ears? By that I mean the vocoder effect. Really really grating. If that wasn't on it, it would've been a more pleasant listen definitely.

Happy...ugh.

Phresh.

The reception to 'Only One' has been almost universally positive everywhere else, go figure BuzzJack is still hating tho ~

Bastille also did when 'Pompei' re-entered after the Brit Awards last year.

I don't really mind Changing to be honest, it doesn't feel that old like the others.

Great to see PaulMcC back in the chart after 8 years. He's actually had more noughties hits than I thought. His main post Beatles output seemed to be 1971-74 then 1979-84!
Sigma is definitely a welcome re-additon to the chart! Can't wait for their next single though, don't want them fading into obscurity after this.
At work yesterday we had Paloma's album on FOUR TIMES in a row so now it sounds weird not hearing the Sigma-less version for me. Such a tune though. :music:
