Two random ones that I ALWAYS seem to hear on Radio 1 are 30 Seconds to Mars' 'Kings & Queens' & Panic! At The Disco 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa', the latter in particular is a really odd choice of song to still plug years after it's release.

I haven't heard it for a while but some time ago R1 seemed to play Boys Like Girls 'The Great Escape' all the time, despite it being a years-old song that barely scraped the top 75.

I hear 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' almost every time I switch on the radio. :lol: (not THAT regularly, granted). Agreed that it seems like an odd choice to give major rotation to, maybe someone at the station REALLY loves it!

Great, another All Time Low song for them to hammer to death...

Would love Kelly to be TOTD at some point. They played her new track this morning and had her on the phone plus Nick and Fearne both appear to be fans of hers and the song so I can see them supporting her again :)

I'd say its a cert but it's release isn't until 1/3 so they have plenty of time to TOTD it. I think they like to use the TOTD as a method to see of popular the audience reacts to a song and it's good for OA/OS releases to get a boost!

she's another hotly-tipped singer/songwriter for 2015 that seems to have missed the sound poll but she was jools holland last year and the andrew marr show the other week (:/) tbh i'm surprised radio 1 are getting behind her, if ever there was a textbook r2 artist...

Do we know what the UK impact date is for Elastic Heart? It might not be for ages... I hope it does get playlisted it though, while it's high in the charts. Would be so annoying if it ended up being a high selling top 20 and not going top 10.

'Scars' isn't a single, his next single is a re-release of 'Let It Go' on the 8th of March (so far too early for it to be added just yet).
