Hi guys, I'm a long term browser on here but I just signed up to say that Fearne Cotton actually said on her radio show today that the criteria was songs that charted in the top 20 only once, just in case anybody else on here wasn't listening at the time. I'm really interested to see how this plays out, if the thread is anywhere near as fun as the weekly chart countdown then it's going to be awesome!
I would love to do a slot but does it mean I just post the songs or a full run through of the chart run (I don't know how to do them) etc I do love a one hit wonders. I mean in terms of Indie/rock ones I mean Pigeon detectives, The band who sang Bang Bang your dead

Polyhex is very useful for quickly copy and pasting chart runs. It only gives the top 75 run but it's far more user friendly than the OCC archive

Oh and I'd like to do a slot, will have to check when I'm available though

That would be Dirty Pretty Things. :D

Oh brilliant, thank you so much for letting me know, and welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll have fun if you enjoy the Sunday threads!

Oh and brilliant to hear Dan and Harry! Don't worry Harry it's not difficult at all, just literally post the artist/song title, a chart run from the polyhex site, and maybe a youtube video too! It's much easier than it may sound, if you're still unsure then ask away! But yeah thanks guys, take your time deciding when, will add as soon as you let me know! ^_^

I'll do the early slot if you want, I was very likely to be up then anyway, and it's about time I put some work into one of these type of threads. Will have to practice with Youtube first though as I never use it!

If they should have only been in the top 20 once then as stated, Michael Gray shouldn't really feature.

Daniel Powter will be there.

A Top 10 run of {2}-2-2-3-3-3-5-5-6-6-10-8-8-.. for "Bad Day" and then never seen again except for a solitary week at No.70 over 3 years later (however he should have charted Top 40 with "Free Loop" (One Night Stand) however the B-side was a live version of "Bad Day" which disqualified it under the then rules in place for the singles chart as that single was still Top 40 after 16 weeks).

I'm happy to try and do 3-4 but I'd suggest put a backup just in case I don't make it to that time :)

Brilliant you two, will add to first post! I will cover for you if you can't make it UV, unless somebody else wants that time!

Oh and fchd if you need any help with YouTube, feel free to drop me a PM!

I loved that #70 track, 'Next Plane Home', I bought the CD single. Shame he's never been a chart force ('Bad Day' aside). :(

Free Loop is still amazing today.

This may help - to embed a YouTube video, all you need to do is copy the part after = in the URL of that particular video and put it between the [ youtube] [/youtube ] tags.

Going by that criteria, German Whip & Soundbwoy could be played :cheer:
I'd probably say not if it's confirmed the criteria is no other top 20 single.

Good lord, you learn something new every day :o
