Congratulations Nick!
It probably happened most weeks in 2005 where all the Elvis fans would buy the weekly re-issue at the start of the week

Yes and I'm pretty sure Ciara went from 6 in midweeks to 1 by Sunday (which in those days was bizzare)

Also, I'm sure towards the end of Umbrella's reign at number one, there were new number 1s in the midweeks but were overtaken by Sunday. Lee Mead, White Stripes and the Manics spring to mind.

Still not really into Jess's solo stuff
Jealous is MUCH better and sold more.. Streaming screwed him off. Such a shame.

Phew. Worried that we would have had the first terrible #1 of the year (I'm counting UF as 2014 here k :P)

But yeah Hold My Hand doesn't really feel like a 3 week number 1 at all! Guess we have record labels & their dodgy releasing strategies to thank for it tho.

Thank goodness that Neyo soundalike track Jealous only got to no2, woulda been a non no1 anyway and he's just another Bieber wanabee
'Jealous' is quite good but in terms of Jonas solo singles Joe's 'See No More' is about 100x better and that didn't even go top 40 IIRC :/
I love 'Jealous' (albeit prefer the Tinashe remix) so I'm glad it's done so well! Not too bothered about Jess beating it now as that song has IMMENSELY grown on me!

The Tinashe remix being the official single would have pushed it that bit further to #01 imo (maybe). I'm so used to listening that remix that the original sounds like a demo to me now!

Yes! Hold My Hand is number one for a third week!

Undeniably a bit of a default week with probably quite low sales but yay Jess nonetheless! Still sounding great.

Jealous is decent, but there's nothing that special or standout about it. Though it's leagues ahead of his material with the Jonas Brothers!

I knew Nick Jonas would be at 2 right when I saw the Voice winner at 6! Streaming here you go.
'Hold My Hand' really doesn't feel like THAT big a hit, think it might be one looked back on in the future and we wonder how it got 3 weeks at #1. Not a bad thing though as it is still a great song and easily the year's best #1.

I thought that about Burn by Ellie Goulding at the time. Low sales for number 1, number 1 for 3 weeks because of no competition. But eventually it became a massive hit.

It's rare for me to prefer a male vocalist, but Jealous is SO much better than HMH, and I do enjoy Jess.
I wanted Nick to get the #1 but this past week or so i have grown to quite like 'Hold My Hand' so not too upset at the end result. Still #2 for Nick is a very big achievement!

That's true! Maybe I shouldn't write it off so quickly then :P
