April 12, 201511 yr 'Cheerleader' is slowly creeping up on me. Sounded amazing at a party this week! Yeah but I like Pitbull songs when I'm wasted. Doesn't mean they're good.
April 12, 201511 yr Oh I actually quite like Cheerleader now and would rather prefer it over SYA but its future #2 is a punishment for holding back the song so ridiculously! Also I do like the Pitbull song and I think it is what is should exactly be: a stable top-30 hit.
April 12, 201511 yr :cheer: is growing slowly, though I must admit I'd put it closer to R'n'B than Dance in all honesty, very subtle. Edited April 12, 201511 yr by Chez Wombat

For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat. April 12, 201511 yr When you get round to digitising them, drop me a PM - maybe we can do a trade as I have literally hundreds of shows but I'm missing a lot from 2000-2002 :) Will do. April 12, 201511 yr Aaaaaaand Bre was right. Oh blimey! The John Legend version actually so bad that people would rather not give to Comic Relief! I think it's more likely that streaming has dragged the John Legend version much lower.
