Scott said Big Weekend is in 6 weeks (thus meaning a condensed chart show).

Radio 1 One Big Weekend in 6 weeks time at Norwich

41 weeks and counting, all of them so thoroughly deserved.

I think it's fair to say this is one of the best songs ever for me now. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

I wonder if this could be the last time Scott Mills ever does the chart? He's not very likely to do a double shift and fill in for Greg? :o

I think he'll sneek in one more at the very least before the chart moves to a Friday! Although I said that last week

Edited by gavindeejay

Wiz Khalifa and Omi still to come then! Both set to out peak All About That Bass on streams alone I think

Wiz Khalifa is not streams-only, he had ~800 actual sales as of Friday. A song actually shifting a decent amount via Amazon for once it seems. (Plus it would have had some iTunes sales from the last hours of Saturday).

Continuing to have OUTSTANDING longevity, still hasn't left the top 40 even for one week yet! :o Not sounding half bad either today.

Hope so. He does it in a more old skool way than anyone else. Longest serving chart show presenter ever isn't he? I have his first show from 1999.

SIA  Really hope 'Big Girls Cry' does something soon.

Biography

Although the first solo single from soul-inspired, London-born artist Sam Smith was issued in early 2013, it was his soaring vocal contribution to Disclosure's October 2012 U.K. garage track "Latch" which brought him to most people's attention. For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes
