Music is also an art, and there is a difference between making money and making a lot of money. She’s seemingly happy with the former. Most artists make money through touring or endorsements now, not music sales. She’s fine.

This project seems pretty low budget anyway? Both in terms of promotion and the producers she’s worked with.

Well, I feel better about the album having read that interview with Lily. It reminds me just how real she is which is one of the big reasons I loved her in the first place. However I'm not sure I'm gonna connect with this album very well - it literally sounds like music to get high to and chill and that's just not what I wanna do with my life. Completely different tangents.
Yeah, I really want to like the album after reading about its background, but the music just isn't working for me and no amount of understanding the place she's coming from is going to make it appeal to me. :(

I really like the video and looking forward to hearing the album tonight, maybe its cohesiveness will help in liking it.

It’s finally out!!

These tracks are as good as I remember them  a really fantastic album from start to finish.

What an album, Lily did that

It’s really quite brutal isn’t it? She’s so vulnerable and honest. The production is great throughout too. I imagine this is going to review well.

On first listen this album is AMAZING. Sad but amazing. The production, the lyrics, her voice... DAMN, Lily is back!

Oh and so happy with "Lost my mind" being playlisted on Radio 1

I've certainly enjoyed this more on first listen than I did "Sheezus". It is coherent and honest. It is uncommercial but that doesn't mean there isn't quality. Not sure about its playbackability but will certainly be giving it a few more listens at least.

Some sales info from Music Week:

The first glimpse of the new record arrived back in December 2017, with Trigger Bang (feat. Giggs). The song has been streamed 3,225,881 times and has a to date sales tally of 35,291, according to the Official Charts Company.

Allen then announced the album’s release in March this year, dropping two new tracks, Higher and Three, simultaneously. Higher has 545,796 streams to date, while Three has been streamed 349,098 times. Also from the album, Lost My Mind was released earlier this month.

Allen’s biggest selling single to date is 2009’s The Fear (663,009 sales, OCC), which Mitchell described as “one of the best pop songs of the last 20 years”.

Her cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know has sold 845,881 copies.

Allen’s biggest selling album is 2006’s Alright Still (1,141,883 sales). It’s Not Me It’s You, from 2009, has sold 1,069,971 copies. Sheezus, released in 2014, has shifted 112,941 copies.

I really didn't like any of the singles but as a whole package, it's really good! So chilled and some of the lyrics are so emotional / raw - she's at her best! 'Come On Then' is so good

I actually prefer Sheezus - I really loved that album.

This album starts off strong, then falls flat and finishes on a high.
