January 3, 20241 yr Thanks for this, look forward to the update. Glad to see OMS starting to gain traction in other markets, the more it grows in other countries the better playlist support it should get on Spotify which should then lead to more traction on other markets. Updated now and also included Ireland’s charts for a bit more European coverage. It definitely seems to be gaining a bit more attention as it gradually breaks into more territories. Hopefully we will see better playlist placement next year for OMS and Winter Wonderland, which seems to also be gaining traction.
January 5, 20241 yr Forgive Me certified Silver today. :cheer: Believe that Leona's 9th single to be certified. Expecting I Got You to be the 10th, hopefully by the end of this year.
January 6, 20241 yr I really hope 'I Got You' is next... WHAT AN UNDERRATED BEAUT! Thr one from Glassheart?
January 6, 20241 yr Thr one from Glassheart? I believe it’s from I Am, not Glassheart. Though I believe Tafty is referring to the single taken from Echo.
January 6, 20241 yr Wonderful news! Do we have last known sales for I Got You? Last sales figure I have is 165k from December 2018. Forgive Me was at 177k at the same point. I Got You has been a consistently better streamer than Forgive Me (even after combining single and album edits) so don’t expect it to be far behind Forgive Me and will eventually overtake. January 8, 20241 yr I believe it’s from I Am, not Glassheart. Though I believe Tafty is referring to the single taken from Echo. I'm fully convinced her career would have turned out differently/lasted longer if they'd have just been bold and released 'Outta My Head' instead, she was becoming quite formulaic at that point and another ballad wasn't really helpful in that regard. Plus OMH was a BARNSTORMER that ended up completely wasted. :( Although I don't know if 'Happy' had eroded some of her momentum anyway.

She should have come back with a big dance track, something out there and different for her. Something in the veins of I wanna dance with somebody or We found love would have smashed for her and allowed more people in invest in a different side to her. Sadly she got the image of being boring. Syco had no vision beyond a first album campaign sadly.

Or maybe not left Scene Of The Crime on the cutting room floor.
January 12, 20241 yr Even after not releasing OMH during Echo they had the perfect opportunity to lead with "Glassheart" as the lead single from Glassheart. It would've been amazing to see Leona come back with a killer dance track. I remember how crazy the gays in G-A-Y went when she performed it there before album release. As well as the fact it charted in a few placed on album release week. With "Trouble" going to #7 with the promotional campaign it had, I think "Glassheart" would've done a lot better. "Trouble" was ~2k sales from going top 5. I think "Glassheart" would've done a lot more and had decent longevity. :( So many could haves with Leona. :snif: Edited January 12, 20241 yr by Envoirment
January 12, 20241 yr I’ve always thought Glassheart (the song) is the biggest misfire of her career. If they’d led Glassheart the album with that I think it might’ve even challenged for #1 but at the least it would’ve been a decent running top 3 hit with potentially better running album sales too. Release Glassheart as the lead with Fireflies as the follow up (the typical Leona ballad) it would’ve been a great campaign. Echo is probably my favourite from her as a whole album I think they made a mistake just ending the era after I Got You - Outta My Head could’ve worked as a spring / summer hit and maybe release Can’t Breathe too. The issues with Echo and Glassheart were down to the abrupt nature of the campaigns they could’ve both done a lot better.
January 12, 20241 yr Agree, both Echo and Glassheart eras endless way to prematurely. So many missed opportunities, even Spirit had a few.
January 13, 20241 yr BTW anyone knows the latest sales of Echo and Glassheart  Both albums deserve bigger success

Happy and Simon destroyed her career with constant ballads. They should have released Outta Ma Head first.

January 13, 20241 yr BTW anyone knows the latest sales of Echo and Glassheart  Both albums deserve bigger success Info has been scarce on Leona releases, though not too surprising given the lack of new music since 2015. Glassheart was on 89k as of December 2018 doing just over 2k a year, so expect this to definitely go gold this year. I don't have any sales estimates for Echo since December 2010 when it was on 658,800. Would be surprised if that was performing worse than Glassheart, so looking at 685k as a minimum (most likely over 700k). Really hope we get a new album this year and catalogue sales updates with it. The other albums (if anyone has more up to date, please share): Spirit - 3,170,000 as of September 2018 Christmas, With Love - 124,000 as of December 2018 I Am - 23,770 as of August 2018
