If Ella can't get a top 10 releasing in a week as dead as this, then I haven't really got a lot more hope left for her unfortunately....

Keeping an eye on the charts to see how the #NoControlDay project by One Direction fans is going to go down. Not expecting much from over here, but its present Itunes positions worldwide are:

If Ella misses Top 10 again do you reckon they'll just cancel her album altogether? It's a shame cos she's got an unbelievable voice, she performs well, she looks like a star and her songs are decent. I don't get why the public just don't seem to care. And then there's the likes of Jess Glynne who are getting all the attention but aren't even that good

The No Control campaign is actually going quite well, considering it's a fan-organised thing :o No doubt it's top 100 combined over here too. Won't get anywhere near officially of course as streaming will kick it out and it will fade over the week anyway.

I doubt that would happen  there's been many artists who's singles have flopped and their album has still done well!

I do hope they get a big hit over here, the song is really good, been aware of them for a long time, had a single called Anna Sun a few years back, didn't do anything for them over here. I really think they could bag themselves a #1 with this track, only time will tell and what other competition there is at the time.

i'd love walk the moon to smash. their first album was awesome. 'anna sun' is actually one of my least favourite songs on the album. glad to see Shut Up & Dance is looking likely to be a hit :)

MNEK is the male Ella Eyre in this regard.

What a mess for the Sheppard track - It was #1 in Australia 13 months ago and has been released all over Europe and beyond. Hope it makes the Top 40 although I'm sure if it had been released a lot sooner it would have been an easy Top 5.

I think the biggest problem it's faced is a lack of support more than anything.

Interesting to see all the 1D chart positions - Also up to 132 and 146 in the UK now and Twitter is awash with it!

I disagree - MNEK is clearly a very talented producer and writer, and his best songs seem to be the ones that don't have him as the lead artist (Ready For Your Love, Close [sub Focus], Spoons [Rudimental]) but he doesn't seem to keep any good songs for himself. And his voice is really grating in my opinion, sounds very amateurish at times.

Wouldn't know how to check how its going, but there is literally a Spotify playlist being posted around which has No Control on it 4000 times, with fans being asked to keep it going day and night. I really wouldn't underestimate them haha

Ella is doing a lot better than I expected. Pre orders have been really not too representative of performance lately.

There is also tweet after tweet showing people playing it on Streaming sites! Never underestimate the power of boyband fans - They can do amazing things (Like giving Union J 4 Top 10 'hits') :D

Isn't there a limit on how many streams are counted per person, in the UK charts at least?

Yes I believe something was raised about this to stop people trying to get songs higher up in the charts. I can't remember what the limit was though

Yeah one person can only really make 0.7 sales from streams max, unless they have multiple accounts of course.
reasoning

It's been that way for a while imo. It makes sense though as i'd assume pre-orders usually just make up a minor fraction of a song's 'first week' sales. It seems to me like most releases that out-do their pre-order performance are either very accessible tracks that have had heavy radio support beforehand (like 'Stronger', 'Maps', 'Heartbeat Song') or from artists that have a sizeable fanbase/following (then there's the likes of 'Treasured Soul' that defy most logical reasoning)
