I don't know how you can say her voice doesn't sound great on this when it's the first time it's sounded properly human since In The Zone?

:D Maybe that's the problem :P

I just read on another forum that carpool karaoke streams will go towards week one album streaming sales. Apparently it's been confirmed by billboard. Anyone heard anything about this?

No, I don't think so?

No, I don't think so?

I don't think so either - would be nice if it were true. I couldn't find anything about it and they didn't post a link.

Invitation 10/10 - Haunting, magical, dreamy + her voice = Invitation  no other track could open doors for us to a HOLY GLORY

Make Me 10/10 - Sassy, sultry Britney delivering it...I have a feeling that this will definitely end up (regardless of today's hit status) being recognised as one of her best works some years later ala Slave 4 U (now let's just hope VMA performance will be half as epic as Slave 4 U)

Private Show 08/10 - So much fun lyrics wise and voice wise + minimalistic production of this record makes it everything

Man On The Moon 08/10 - Okay this is one of the records that keeps growing each time you listen to it. Very clever on writings and execution department but still I hope it ends up only as album track.

Just Luv Me 10/10 - the tropical sound on back of this gives the status of being one of the most successful singles if it happens to be one (preferably a 3rd one).

Clumsy 09/10 - imagine a 50's retro sound in a club scene  oops part completes this bop for me!!

Do You Wanna Come Over? 11/10 - please single #2...Britney stamp all over it...fun, exciting, pop at it's best :dancing:

Slumber Party 09/10 - I was lucky to be in Miami when I first gave this record a spin. It is definitely made for summer and beach parties. And now listening to this in my apartment just takes me directly to that moment I've listened to it for the first time...sun, waves, cocktail

Just Like Me 05/10 - I really can't make a definitive opinion about this one. It is very simple compared to the rest of album and adds nothing to it. A very first track that I see myself skipping it after this review lol. Next.

Love Me Down 09/10 - Thanks to godney for this after that 'no opinion' dull song. Very complex production and very in love with how it starts so little and builds up all the way up to having ear orgasm

Hard To Forget Ya 08/10 - Very melodic during verses and repetitive during chorus...but it works very well...love it.

What You Need 10/10 - OMG who thought Britney could do soul and not only doing it but slaying it. More Soulney in future please ...that was fun!!!http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9bQAVp2Ih9Q/VDrUiRzlMZI/AAAAAAABZQE/AsleweTYxoY/s1600/9a9bd3319734e5f6a9c20ec1fdc22022.jpg

Better 07/10 - I jus't cant connect fully to this...too Pill In Ibiza and Sorry and I can no longer tolerate that sound.

Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes) - 10/10 - It's slaying my heart and soul so effortlessly with this one. Love it from start to finish. Lyrics, production, her voice and that little spanish talk...I just close my eyes when I listen to this I try to create the music video for it...red flamingo dress, rose on her hair

Liar 11/10 - This picture below says it all lol. What a f***ing fierce track. Everytime I listen to it it just takes my breath away...easily in my top 10 Britney tracks.

If I'm Dancing - 09/10 - Last night DJ played this in one of the bar :o...So much fun and it just keeps growing and growing.

Coupure Electrique - 08/10 - I cringed when i first listened to this because of her french accent lol but it is all forgiving once the beat kicks in.

Overall this is 09.5/10 album for me and I place #3 on her album discography.

omg I've never seen Oops! shortened as OIDIA, I was like 'WTF is that?!' for a minute
Damn #3. I guess that's okay and was expected.

I think more likely #4...Frank Ocean second week should be strong too!!

Let's hope VMA will have some sort of effect and move pure sales to 105k-110k and SPS to 130k.

Listened to the album twice now, I don't think I've actually listened to a full Britney album before somehow so I wouldn't class myself as a stan even, but despite being a bit disappointed on first listen, it's definitely a grower of an album.

The trio of Love Me Down/Hard To Forget You/What You Need are a REAL struggle. The first two have great verses and bridges but the experimental choruses are just a misstep for me, trying to do too much rather than just delivering a banger of a chorus with a proper hook. The deluxe totally picks it up though with four solid tracks in a row.

Erm, so Spotify UK stupidly has her "new release" as the standard. But then the standard doesn't work. What a way to kill the huge streaming promo they've put in.
Great review Liam. I love the 'half night stands' reference for Do you want to come over? So true!

Ok so i just went to Best Buy and as soon as you enter there is a little section(7-8 cds per row) of new releases and there was 6 of FGL and 0 of Glory...first I thought they didn't stock but then I saw the tag :)

Went to down floor where they keep majority of CDs and found the Fresh music section...there I found near 20 copies of Barbra and only 4 of Glory...of course this could all be misleading as they could have restock Barbara's. But it made me happy in some way lol...i am such a stan I know.

Imagine that said Glory behind her and was the album cover :( I feel like we're being trolled.

I think those sales predictions seem about right, there was nothing to indicate this should do better commercially than Britney Jean.

Actually when you consider Britney Jean's lifetime US sales are roughly the same as Femme Fatale's first week... this is pretty good!!

I despise when her make is like that. FFT First Leg realness. She's so beautiful so like why??

Also the sooner they ban Randee St Nichols the better. Although she didn't shoot that.

Haha yeah I prefer the actual album cover to that 🙃

I read someone on here say that 'Love Me Down' reminded them of 'Cool Me Down' by Margaret (I think it might've been Liamk?) but after not really hearing that on first listens, now you've pointed it out, it's blatant!

WHAT A SONG <3
