 7. Zedd I Want You To Know (feat. Selena Gomez) :o

I thought Leona Lewis would be top 20 by now.

Ouch that it's not top 20. Obviously their 'risk' in releasing early hasn't paid off.

So happy to see Zedd #7! I can imagine him actually doing decently on streaming this week, too.

Considering it only entered the top 1500 on pre-orders three days before release, I don't think it's doing too badly. It's a shame they didn't leave it at the original release date to continue to build up radio airplay.

Leona will go top 20 today if she gets another of increases like she's had this morning. There are 3 songs a few places above her that are falling so she could potentially go to 18. Can't see her getting any higher before it starts to fall though.

I am actually pleased with FUMF's position so far and it has been gradually improving. My main concern is that it needs stability now and to hold onto that position if it wants to go top 40 on the actual chart (as streaming will severely knock down its position this week for sure). Fingers crossed with it being on the Radio 2 playlist this week and general awareness for the track increasing with casual music fans, it manages to hold on to its position (ideally keep climbing) and not drop down rapidly this week.

Glad to see Zedd/Selena doing well with this. Still think it should have been released sooner but if it manages to get top 10 this week then clearly holding it back was the right strategy in this case. Always happy to see Selena Gomez get more UK hits.

Yeah it's certainly doing 'better than expected' but will still only chart somewhere between 36 - 48, because there just isn't enough airplay yet to stablise it, if they'd kept to the correct release date it would have been in the top 10 at this point, I'm sure.

That's definetely too optimisitc

it's pretty obvious at this stage that she won't make the top 40 on the official chart

It would be a good idea for Avicii to release next week rather than going against Tinie Tempah

I think if released this week it would be no1 on itunes now!

I'm totally shocked by how Zedd/Selena is doing, I thought this would be well clear of the top 40!

Also if Rixton can't even get top 10 with this, I don't see where they can go from here.

I don't get the comments that #21 is better than what you expected for Leona? 21 is rather horrific even with limited airplay. Sales are at an all time low and she's got a dedicated fan base, look at 'What Are You Waiting For' no airplay and peaked at 14, this is Leona's comeback single after almost two years? It should be doing much better than peaking at 21 on iTunes and missing the top 40.

I can safely say that I see no coming back for both her and Rixton.

What Are You Waiting For had a much longer build up and had pre-order sales lumped onto its original iTunes position though which helped. I mean, it's still pretty awful for Leona but those factors will have helped, she didn't get thrown in at #78 off the back of pre-existing pre-orders, she had to climb her way up from about #1200.

Eastenders

It is undoubtedly extremely disappointing for Leona and I hoped for much better. There's little to no awareness of her new material, and the ever changing release date made it appear that Island were pretty much winging this. I think they anticipated getting radio on board for Leona's massive comeback but it's turned out to be a complete non event. Such a pity.

She could well shift around 15k this week but her lack of streaming support will really hurt. Shame.

Leona's pretty much replicating Luke Friend's iTunes performance so far, he peaked at #21 iirc, so if she holds up well enough she could make the top 40 but just about. It is quite disappointing because Luke didn't have any radio support at all whereas Leona at least has Radio 2, but in all honesty this is basically how I expected it to do following the release date shifting back to yesterday.
Simon Cowell will no doubt be smiling smugly at how Leona's comeback is performing :(

Sales aren't at an all time low  declining from the recent highs of 2010-11, but not an all time low. 2005-7 were awful, this is quite healthy up to that.

oh yes I remember on saturday he was #38..I thought he would miss the top 40, but he made it with 12k...I m wondering how much he did with streaming

Btw I expected for Leona to do as she is doing considering minimal radio support, a small tv appearance, and the release push forward three weeks before the impact date.but release AO is common with Island artists, look at Florence 3 singles before releasing the album neither one of them make the top 20..and her album sold 70k..Will Young did not even make the top 100 with the single but his album got 1 (with only 21k though)..I just hope leona release as her seconde single Glassheart and not lovebird :D
