No reason why they aren't genuine title contenders at the moment. Fantastic stuff from them.

Vardy winding up Costa :P

But did you see him scream in "agony", grab his ankle for all of 2 seconds then jumps up to square up to him? Ffs, I really hate when they do it, it's so cringe.

Last sub from Mourinho. Remy hasn't scored a Premier League goal this season.

Play-acting should have no place in the game.

I can see Leicester still being top at the new year now. Everton, Liverpool & City - easy games right?

I would be all for Leicester winning the title if Man Utd can't do it, much rather them than Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham.

Chelsea are only one point clear of the relegation zone now!

Could be possible that Marcelo Bielsa will be the new manager of Swansea as chairman Huw Jenkins is apparently in South America talking to him.

"Cheeky" tackle from Vardy could have got him sent off. That would have been interesting, Mahrez can't usually do it all on his own.
Mourinho has been sacked it has been confirmed!

WOW! :o

I didn't think Roman Ambromovich would have the balls to do it this season. This must be the lowest moment of Mourinho's career surely!

Mourinho has been sacked it has been confirmed!

I'm mildly shocked but not totally surprised at his being sacked.....as an outsider, so to speak for everything BPL, I got the distinct impression Mourinho was stuck up, and really didn't give two farts about a lot of things, especially the way he treated the former team doctor....

I'm in genuine shock.

His record right now is beyond atrocious this season so I can understand why he's been sacked but he had the fans backing him and I can't help but think this will be an incredibly unpopular decision. Who will the new manager of Chelsea be now though? Mourinho obviously lost the backing of the players, so I'm inclined to believe something has went on behind the scenes.

Hiddink is the favourite followed by Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Simone.

It will be Hiddink. And "having the backing of the fans" is irrelevant, fans don't know poop about what's going on behind closed doors. I think it's very obvious from recent quotes that Mourinho himself no longer wanted this job so there was really only one outcome here.

Wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea win two or three matches back to back now.

This can't get much worse for Chelsea this year. Although with a couple of weeks of caretaker manager now before the new appointment and having no one in place for the start of the transfer window, it might be worth putting a couple of quid on their relegation.

If I was a Chelsea fan this is how I would be feeling right now as well:

Where now for Mourinho?

I had a funny feeling that he could go before Saturday's game against Sunderland. He had lost the players and the trust had gone.

I mean winning the premier league and getting to the qualifying stage of the champions league, things can't get much worse.

I do expect Hiddink to be the caretaker manager for the rest of the season.

Chelsea's rapid decline must be one of the biggest declines in Premier League history. There is no spirit in the team or some of the players aren't even trying at all. They were basically cr*p.

Me.

Chelsea 2 nil up in the first 25 minutes of the match against Sunderland, you couldn't write this stuff. They're trying to paint the picture that Mourinho is the one at fault :drama:

And Man Utd almost sending me to sleep with another goalless first half so far.

Well he is. Clear he lost the dressing room, and it's not the first time it happened.

United 1-0 down at half time, cue the boos.
