Guardiola leaving Bayern. Ancelotti to replace him.

So here starts the merry-go-round for if he will go to City, Utd or Chelsea

I'm surprised that Ancelotti will be the new Bayern manager, I can't see that working out.

Guardiola is going to take a huge step down in quality when he joins the premier league, Bayern are so much better than Chelsea and City, it's a massive risk.

I feel awful for Pellegrini. He's quietly getting on with his job (and doing it very well) and nobody will shut up about the fact that he'll be sacked come season's end.

Rather like Ranieri when he was at Chelsea.

Well amazingly that means City have now lost more games than United so far this season, not something anyone would expect!
I suppose people will think that Arsenal are favourites for the title now. Even though it might look that way now there's still 5 more months of football to go and I'm sure Arsenal will drop a lot of points.
It's like nobody wants to win the premier league this season!

Based on what? Besides your enduring hatred of them obviously. Take the blinkers off and you'll see that Arsenal, having beat the other 5 teams who make up the top 6, and with Sanchez and Wilshere due back imminently to add further depth to the squad, are looking fantastic right now.

I agree that Arsenal are looking the most hungry for the title. I've discounted Leicester (I don't mind them as a team, just hated the entire club when Pearson was manager) because realistically I don't think they'll be able to keep this up (especially if Vardy/Mahrez get injured) for the rest of the season.

Because they've built a healthy gap between themselves and 5th place though I think the top five could look like this come May:

1. Arsenal

2. Man City

3. Man Utd

4. Tottenham

5. Leicester

I'd be happy with this outcome as I really enjoy watching Arsenal play.

It's nothing to do with my dislike of Arsenal. The title can never be won in December, there's still a lot of games to play in the coming months and Arsenal have a history of faltering in the second half of the season. In the 2013/14 season they were in an even better position at this stage but they fell away in the 2nd half of the season and ended up finishing 4th.

I'm not saying that Arsenal will finish as low as that and I agree that they look like the most likely team at the moment to win the league but as I said in my previous post there is still 5 more months of football to play and a four point gap on Manchester City at this stage will not be enough.

Rumours Van Gaal is about to be sacked..

It's being reported everywhere that Mourinho has agreed to be the new Manchester United manager in principal. I'm ready for the amount of backlash he will receive from Chelsea supporters now.

Dimitri Payet will be fit for the Liverpool match at Upton Park on the 2nd January - over a month ahead of schedule! :cheer:

Van Gaal looks like a dead man walking right now I must say. Even he's admitted he may be past his best and with Guardiola and Mourinho available, United may need to act now.

My top 6 prediction would be:

1. Man City

2. Arsenal

3. Man United

4. Tottenham

5. Liverpool

6. Leicester

Chelsea to finish in the top half, but below Crystal Palace. My three to be relegated are Aston Villa, Norwich and Bournemouth.

LVG had a superb press conference today. Transcript is on the BBC, will only take you about 15 seconds to read through it!

I wouldn't be surprised if there was moves afoot to secure Pep. We'd be stupid not to tbh.

They may want him but I imagine Pep will want to go to a team who are considered among the best in the world.

He has also said he wants to move to the Premier League. It would be hard for him to achieve both at the moment.

1st goal was a calamity, 2nd goal.. well sometimes you just have to admit you're never going to stop those.

Not going to gloat as Liverpool could be in a similar predicament later!!

As shit as we're doing we're still going to be ahead of Liverpool today whatever happens.

The most depressing thing is whenever we go 1-0 down that's game over every time these days.

At least it was only 2-0 could have been another 6-1 going by the first half hour.

Yeah this is how I feel as well. Gone are the days of the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjær getting us last minute goals or coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
