I know a Christmas album is likely to pick up sales from an older audience so makes sense to promote on TV, but does make me laugh how we’ve been anticipating Strictly performances to promote her other albums but it’s now that we get the Strictly spot.

Wasn’t there some speculation last year about a DVD Christmas release and all it ever was the original 2015 CD/DVD.

This is just like when HMV advertised ‘Abbey Roads Sessions Special edition with postcards’ and then sent out the standard edition. Misleading because they were charging more too. In the end they sent everyone a free copy of the deluxe edition. Must have cost them a fortune.

Advertising basics they don’t seem to have a grip on.

I think he will be the nearest challenger but formats will hold him back - there have been no signed bundles etc and the only new thing added is a free print with orders from HMV.

Ya I wouldn't rule taylor out yet but fingers crossed kylie can do it.

One other interesting thing to observe is the sales from streams….if along with XMAS on Amazon one or more of the new songs are well supported across the streaming platforms we could potentially see Kylie’s best ever weekly streaming number. Santa Baby might be relegated out of the top 2 so won’t be downweighted for the first time ever.

Also it will help stop it plummeting week 2 and 3. Week 4 will be brutal as it begins on Boxing Day.
