I must dig out the YTDs from 2010 and trace Love The Way You Lie's slow rise up the chart to land an #1.

One Direction – What Makes You Beautiful

Chart Run within the top 75: {1}-3-5-4-10-12-18-23-27-25-20-24-35-24-21-14-17-28-37-44-47-41-47-48-54-61-64-57-63-55-66-66-63-73-74-73R(2)-32R(12)-55-57-54-65-66-67-62-62-61R(3)-57-45-69-61R(5)->50

This for me is still their best song, not a huge fan of them overall but I'd rank it up there amongst the best boyband debuts for sure! Joseph didn’t make me say that... honest :kink:

Ergh at this. 1D have made a few good songs but I still stand by 'What Makes You Beautiful' being dreadful despite the shockingly large number of people with generally good taste who like it on here.
Guilty pleasure alert! The hype was certainly lived up to in the shape of this track, just a fun, incredibly catchy pop song.
'What Makes You Beautiful' isn't really one of my favourites really (the almighty trio of 'You and I'/'Midnight Memories'/'Story of My Life') but it's decent enough.

I didn't mind WMYB at the time but I can't stand it now.

2011 was filled with generic dance-pop with the odd ballad thrown in ofc.

What Makes You Beautiful *.* I'm no Directioner but this is a banger, so many uni memories from this.

Snoop Dogg vs David Guetta – Sweat (Remix)

Chart Run: 16-12-16-9-{4}-6-5-6-8-9-7-9-14-19-25-27-33-35-38-44-46-42-48-61-63-64-62R(5)-71->28

'Sweat' :music: :music: :music: I forgot this was as high as this in the 2011 Y/E! What a banger though, one of Guetta's best songs.

I DO still sorta like WMYB because it's like the only One Direction song that I've found to have really crossed into the mainstream and it's quite good for them but it does have the downside of reminding me how smug they are with every line.

Sweat, haha. Near completely forgot about this one.

Sweat was a track I hated at the time for the sheer overplay on nights out but I can really enjoy this now as it brings back fun memories :)
