Black Magic on the other hand is one of the best songs of 2015 so far.

It didn't look like Avicii would be any sort of competition for Little Mix anyway, the song did considerably worse on pre-orders despite HUGE Capital FM airplay. Must admit though, I thought it would be top 3 or at least ahead of Sam Feldt.

Exactly this. I never really liked Avicii anyway but if he at least tried I might do. This is just as awfully generic of his other which I guess does its job ok tbf, it'll appeal to a lot of people who liked his previous singles, but it's really not for me.

 

Black Magic isn't the most innovative song ever itself but it's my favourite of the year so far (well, my favourite released anyway, Cool For The Summer is my actual favourite) and it's a breath of fresh air for the chart, a real 80s throwback and just a simple fun song. I must admit though I was continually surprised by its pre-order success etc., I thought it would be a hit but not a 100k+ selling #1 :o This could be their biggest hit yet.

'Waiting For Love' is not exactly the most original song ever but I disagree that it's just another rehash of his last few singles, it is a return to just dance music without the folk / country influences of them... it's also a lot better than his last few singles and by FAR the best of the 3 major releases this week so quite disappointing to see it being outsold by that Sam Feldt abomination. I don't like it enough to want it to be a major hit either though.

Yes, but Sam Feldt considerably longer. I think I first saw that in the first BJSC I was in (February I think) and Waiting For Love had the audio released about two months later.
