absolutely thrilled with 20th. cheers to those who liked and voted for Your So Cool. I believe it beat Cigarette Duet too by 5 places. (that's a fab tune too xx)

We won't be taking part next month (April)!

After being on another "break" we enter the 106th BJSC Contest with the hot deep house song "Lost in Istanbul" by Romanian singer Brianna. prepare to feel the summery vibes of this tune. "Ooh Na na na na"!!

Edited by Rob S~

was hoping this would live up to the hype, and based on a first listen I'd say... yep, this must be big contender!
LOVE this song so much, actually first discovered it just after 105 started so it certainly was a potential for me! (In fact I came very close to entering it to the last Club Bizarre but glad I didn't as then it wouldn't have been able to get a run out in this :D) have ALL my hype

@Dobbo Yeah it's something I could have envisioned you'd send tbh. hopefully this should set up to do well for me!

@Dan Yesss, seeking out that hit *.* I hope it does do very well, fingers crossed for top 10/5!!

So it was revealed this evening that WE qualified once again 😍😍😍 of course we understand that the time out effectively ended the monthly participation streak we had with 2 back to back qualifiers earlier this year but regardless of the hiatus we now have a unique streak in the form of 3 non consecutive finalists without having anything dnq since January (before our streak of two qualifiers started)!!

amazing and to top it off Romanian singer Brianna delivered with the lush European Dance banger "Lost in Istanbul"!

next stop... hopefully another top 20 for us. keep this position streak Alive too 🙏🙏

I had this as a potential during the month! It is so good and I hope it smashes for you Rob

BJSC 106 = 4TH *..* words cannot explain how thrilled I am to get my first top 5 easing in a brand new peak after 18 months!!

thanks to everybody who supported the deep house banger and special thanks to Quintessa and Dobago (sure there was someone else too) who awarded me their 18's. not a shock in the latter but a bit of a surprise with the former!

It was also very positive news all round as our 18 pointer Unovia came 3rd with the excellent Vain... the vocals and the feels were unreal such strong and cool progressiveness from start to finish which is something I really dig in dance, not just your standard dance!

12 points went to Cowtermont with the dance icon Moby (surprised it wasn't a veto, guess Moby hasn't had a hit in ages to give him his due) another impressive song most notably the choir being the main ingredient more than anything, just so good.

then we have our 10 points which went to the winner Flijovatik which was super cool and nabbed the win in the last few votes.

as clearly emphasised they all got points and large points in the process with Rolloland, Niceland and St Burbia also getting the big votes which all of those did really well too and all were brilliant as well!

now 107 is up in the air as I have listened to several songs but I am unsure what I should go for. if I can't come to a conclusion I may have to do post some potentials which I haven't done in a very long time!

BULLETIN!!

Well it's surprising what happens with some artists you've sent to BJSC that you'd never in the slightest would have thought *THIS IS EYEING UP A HIT*.

In unexpected news former Summercia representative (and another that flopped like Maggie Lindemann) Boston Bun are eyeing up a UK hit after being playlisted by radio 1 today with new single "Spread Love", haven't heard it myself yet *awks* but it's looking to do pretty well. I do wonder how many more artists that dnqed for us will eventually turn one of their songs into a smash in the charts and continue to make us proud?

(now for a qualifier of mine to take off officially) :')

well I’m kicking myself AGAIN so thank you

oops lol I wouldn't do that tbh.. everyone's been in similar situations. I know I was a lot in 2016 with seeing songs I discovered before they went sent and that was before Billie saw me get out of the rut lol!

I'm absolutely SPEECHLESS, oh my goodness I've actually won and I don't know how to process it  of course I'm happy and would like to thank everyone who voted for Cathedrals.

To think it was a 3rd placer on Popjustice last year as well :o I didn't think it would copy that or hell do just much better and go on to take it home *.* (cheap Florina recyclist :'))

I guess now comes the nerve-racking hosting with my basic as presentation (I'm also going to be alittle bit busy to drum up any fancy graphics but I'll try my best) , "heavy breaths".. be kind but it'll probably be one of the worst and I'm quite honest with saying this, finger crossed I can do some justice though.. Dandy really set the standard extremely high with his excellent graphics and presenting. Big clap for him

Congrats on the first win Roba <3 not my favourite entry from you by any means but it makes up for your run of amazing entries last year that never got any further than top 10 scrapes. Glad to see that you are planning to host as well!

I didn't realise 'Try To Fight' had been in PJSC before, think that must have been one that I skipped or didn't actually listen to. x

YES YES YES! So happy you are now a BJSC winning nation :cheer: ok so we didn't actually vote for this particular entry but that's not important you've sent FAR too many amazing entries in the past so this is finally the deserving success owed to Summericia!

And we look forward to visiting this fine nation to continue our relentless flopping this decade :D

Congratulations from me - really enjoyed your entry and feel you've been getting better and better this year so it seems apt that you've got a victory. ^_^

I hope you do host, it's quite a lot of work if I'm honest but it's fun to see everything unfold as you go along. I don't think anyone will have any expectations from anyone who hosts, a contest can only be as good as the songs we all choose to send to it so don't put any pressure on yourself!

Plus posting the final message in here as a nice memento!
