That doesn't explain why they didn't use footage from last year rather than 2016. It also doesn't begin to explain how it got edited in to a larger sequence showing part of Sunday's ceremony.

Exactly.

Johnson has criticised the victims of the floods for not following the advice from the emergency services. This, of course, puts him at odds with Jack Mogg who criticised the Grenfell Tower victims because they DID listen to advice. No prizes for guessing the headlines if Labour politicians acted like this.

In the eyes of all but two of us regular posters here, the Tories can do or say nothing right. :(

What's that even got to do with the post you quoted?

Why would you try and play fair and give the benefit of the doubt to a party that have consistently shown themselves to be selfish, short-sighted and actively disrespectful to the people of the country?

"Oh, people are just being mean to the Tories" no people are calling a spade a spade and not putting a plaster over a gaping wound.

So why are such a party still 10% ahead in the polls?

How many news outlets have highlighted the inconsistencies between Mogg and Johnson over following the advice of the emergency services? How many of them highlighted Matt Hancock’s lie about economic growth?

Is that a rhetorical question?

Because they are playing at still being their traditional image; the media isn't holding them to account by which I mean the Murdoch press and any organisation whose top brass has been staffed by Tories already to set editorial tone, and lastly people like you and Chris, no offence intended, are spreading the message that there's nothing to see here and this couldn't possibly be a sign of a longterm British institution being hijacked by opportunists.

Put it this way. I don't see eye to eye with traditional Tory politicians or beliefs, but I would trust they're broadly taking the same path to the same goals. This current crop comprised of fossils like Gove/Rees-Mogg and honourless men like Johnson who would sell the country out to Russia and America, lie to the queen, cheat on his wife, ignore his countrymen in a crisis - that's not in any shape or form the party I could grudgingly work with. This is charlatans pinning a rosette to their chest and hoping nobody peeks under it to see the truth; hoping that's as far as people see and will defebd them based on what that signifies as part of the in group. Their success

So this morning,

Johnson has cancelled a campaign visit as the venue he was due to go to has protesters being there

A Deputy chair of local Tory association resigns due to issues with Islamophobia in the party

Chants of "Boris out" could be heard from outside the schools, where Labour, Lib Dem and climate change activists had gathered at the place Johnson was visiting

All this on top of the A and E waiting times and the flood issues rumbling on; another great day for the Tory campaign

They're doing what Murdoch did with Mad May - keep her away from the campaign trail and let Murdoch deal with the rest, i.e Corbyn slander. If there is no footage of Bojo getting booed, the BBToty can't be criticised for not showing it, which they wouldn't (or gloss over/ report briefly once lol), and they can pretend it's all going well.

Whether it is or not will be decided on Dec 12th.

No. It's not going well. It's being covered up by a one party state media. This isn't democracy.

Well don't get too despondant Michael. if Corbyn's as popular as his fans think he is and has good policies then he'll be elected on 12th. We shall see.

The experts say Labour need to be on 33% or above to deny Boris a majority but that also hangs on the Tories not going too far over 40%.

If only elections worked like that eh?

Well don't they? :D

Well don't they? :D

Not with bias press, fake news and Tories making things up to make themselves look better

Tory party is evil and vile. In a real democracy, such a sneaky, lying, evil party wouldn't even be allowed to stand.
Tory party is evil and vile.

Yet millions of people still vote for them. Strange that if they're so evil.
