I've just remembered it's the second record store day!

 

I'm hoping to grab a copy of Ed Rec Vol 1 and the Pipettes. Not too hopeful about the former as there's hardly any copies worldwide.

Managed to get Art of Noise, Fleet Foxes and The Pipettes so pretty happy with that :cheer:

I am also finally the proud owner of ‘Hounds of Love’ (and a ‘vinyl addict’ t-shirt :kink:) after having a browse in HMV too <3 they had 1 copy of Pipettes here in each of my two locals, the owner of one of them seemed quite pleased that I was buying it and was enthusiastic about the polka dot pressing :lol: while the woman behind the till was like… who? But now she’s been educated haha. Hope you manage to get one later, happy to hear that you got your other want ^_^

I got Turin Breaks - The Optimist LP 20th anniversary. Not sure if it was part of RSD though.

Got the Bastille picture disc and it was a lot easier than I experienced before - maybe because of the nice weather, or more likely the fact its a picture disc!! I think it came out as a proper vinyl in a Record Store Day a few years ago but didn’t want to miss the chance on getting it on vinyl in some form as it has some of my favourite songs on there.

Got Pipettes from Resident in Brighton at a pretty good price. They had that Bastille vinyl at my local shop earlier but I wasn’t sure about what was on it - it looked like a nice package though.

Finally a copy of Miley's Plastic Hearts arrived today, so strange that it's only just being released on vinyl :lol:

Did anyone bag anything from the HMV 100th Anniversay selections?

I got The XX vinyl - bit pricy, especially when the sound quality is meant to be poorer for glow in the dark vinyls but I was too intrigued and wanted one in my collection :lol: (especially for such a good/classic album!)

I got XX, Alanis Morissette, Prodigy and Stone Roses. Would have possibly got Kate Bush but they had sold out

I went to order it from their UK site earlier as £25 seemed reasonable. Then somehow the price increases to about £39 once they add shipping and taxes!!! So I passed.
