I got a nice compilation today, The Greatest Christmas Songs Of The 21st Century. Looking forward to spinning that next month alongside the usual suspects that populate Now Christmas (which I got on vinyl last year). Nice to have a more current collection too.

 

I also ordered the latest Saint Etienne rarities collection, The Character Of Saint Etienne, on blue vinyl on Thursday. It sold out within a couple of hours.

 

Picked up both of these on Saturday - both deeply personal albums for each respective DJ/producer with a huge amount of variety and the odd dancefloor-ready banger, but for me the best escape from our fragmented and unsettling world with a totally immersive listen throughout. I wanted to pick out loads more LPs but I had to stop myself.. !

Oh I've got that Leon Vynehall album, love it.

 

 

I'm holding off on the Daniel Avery one as I think it will be one of those that I get and then see for half price everywhere in the not too distant future.

Finally, my long standing pre-order of the should-have-been-RSD-June-2022 release of the One Touch Anniversary Remixes arrived. I also picked up Groove Armada's Soundboy Rock. And in other Sugababes related items, my promo 12" of the Real Girl single is now signed by god herself, and my original pressing of One Touch is now signed by the girls too :wub: (Siobhan also signed my Ghosts CD!!)

 

Then I don't even know where to start. I have now got all of Gabrielle's LPs, along with a bunch of Veronica Maggio from my trip to Oslo. Nico Santos repressed both his albums so I have those now too. Midnights naturally and the new Carly Rae. Nina Nesbit's new (4/150 signed Assai Records) and Alexandra Burke's Overcome. Spiceworld 25 of course. And then recently released in limited edition was Molly Sandén's last three albums. Dom Ska Beta, Det Bästa Kanske Inte Hänt Än, and Större. I am a huge Molly Sandén fan so that was so freaking exciting.

 

 

I need to do an update to my collection post which might lowkey expose how much I have spent recently. But I have very quickly outgrown my storage space. I have one Kallax square #ifyouknowyouknow for everything. It got too much so the Sugababes got their Vinyl moved over to with their CDs, then I still had to conquer a second square for the vinyl. Its currently shared with DVDs and PS4 games but they're all gonna have to get evicted because I need the space

It's great isn't it? “An Exhale” is one of my faves of the 2020s so far. I saw he played the album pretty much in full @ Heaven last Christmas.

 

Yeah I couldn't resist, the guy behind the counter said that they had it on in HMV the other day and it sounded so good. Can't wait to play it full blast! *.*

funniest thing happened to me - I bought an album on Discogs and the guy took ages to ship it… I complained to him many times, and in the end, when he sent it he said he was adding a surprise extra vinyl as an apology... it was a freaking copy of Adele's 30 :D people are ending up giving it away for free :D

Oh haha! That is indeed a very recent album to be giving away :lol:

they made millions of 30 vinyls, collapsing the vinyl plants for months, and then 30 didn't do that well on vinyl

at my usual record store, they had so many left, and thy make crazy sales but they are all still there :D
