Another fake meaningless doctorate for yet another celebrity who has not paid a single fee,lifted a single book up or taken any examinations to warrant it. Instead they lived their dreams making tons of money and then were given a prime spot on a day that is about celebrating the achievements of those who worked for it.

I certainly did and when Kylie received hers too. I think it is an utter slap in the face to all the people who are supposed to be being celebrated on that day.

 

When I got my degree and MA the only people to get single recognition and to give a speech about their "doctorate" was someone who hadn't done anything to warrant it. After 4 years of studying which time for some of it I was also battling illness and dealing with the loss of family members, working in order to be able to afford the rent that my loan wouldn't cover, staying awake all night to meet deadlines, the anxiety and stress of the exams and worry over the results... for them to stand up there and thank the University for their Doctorate was so tone deaf.

You having struggles doesn’t mean anyone else ever can achieve anything? :lol: it’s an HONORARY doctorate for the positive differences she’s made, it’s not like they’ve given her qualifications to go and do brain surgery just for existing.

Meh, all of this stuff is really just PR and virtue signalling. She's been outspoken, sure, and she was part of a great documentary but celebrities really do get awarded all sorts of stuff for doing the bare minimum. :lol:
