CILLA *.*

All those years of watching Blind Date and Surprise Surprise when I was young, I never even realised she'd been a famous singer three decades before. What an iconic No.1 album, although it ought to have the Surprise, Surprise theme tune.

Ooh fantastic stuff with Cilla being the number one album! (Bray your hen will be pleased :cheeseblock:) Quite a few classics in her discography.

Biography

Walk the Moon (often stylized as WALK THE MOON) is an American Indie rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2008 and went through several member changes before finally coming together with current members Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman in 2010. The band derives their name from the song "Walking on the Moon" by The Police. The group independently released their debut album, I Want! I Want!, in November 2010, receiving airplay for the track "Anna Sun" on multiple Alternative radio stations. In February 2011, Walk the Moon signed with Mick Management. They signed to RCA Records and released their first major label album, their second overall, the self-titled Walk the Moon, in June 2012. It is composed of many of their original tracks from I Want! I Want! as well as new tracks that were written specifically for the album and were meant to reflect the kind of energy the band produced in their live shows. In December 2014, the band released their second major-label studio album, Talking Is Hard. This album included their biggest hit to date, "Shut Up and Dance," which has so far charted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number 1 on Billboard's Rock Songs chart and Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

SPIN Magazine has described them as a "poppy, art-rock quartet". They were also deemed a Nylon Magazine Band Crush for their "swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs, and loud, sing-a-long choruses." - Wikipedia

What an unbelievable run this has had! :o probably still at least 2-3 weeks in the top 10 left. Now can they avoid the one hit wonder tag?
I'm starting to get bored of Shut Up + Dance sadly.
Oh, and yes for Cilla being number one! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Great to see Cilla at #1! Also, so glad Walk The Moon has had such success with "Shut Up And Dance".

I don't quite see it. 11 weeks between 2-8 though. *.*

Nice to see Cilla grab that #1 album, a fitting tribute.

Would've been amusing to see Bullet for my Valentine at number 1, but Cilla being number 1 feels more appropriate I guess. Can't imagine how low the sales will be for it tho :S

Shut Up & Dance still sounding brilliant  I expected it to be a long runner, and it hasn't disappointed!

Your point is? x

Also... Idina.

The shade never bothered me anyway :')

A lovely tribute for Cilla to get a #1 album. Odd that it took so long after her death for it to get to #1 though (I guess it was probably helped by the coverage of her funeral this week but still).
This reminds me of 80's. "Anna Sun" should have had the same success with it. Both of them are very good.
