The Wonderful Life track is brilliant, Katie Melua puts her own stamp on it, got a feeling its going to chart somewhere in the top 75 with it arriving late to the party.

Justin Bieber better watch out Jealous is getting higher :o Anyhow its got at least 3 days to catch up with the rest, practically.

I must be the only person who's actually pleased about Jealous doing so well.

Also, come on Crying For No Reason! I'm really hoping it can get high enough to re-enter the top 100.

Anyone know the peak of this on iTunes??

No kworb archive for its week until the Friday, but I'm assuming Do They Know It's Christmas and These Days were always in front of it, so #3 is likely it's iTunes peak.

ouch at Demi! and we all thought she was an easy #1 this week but it looks like she won't even be #2
I for one ain't even too bothered about that because she'll comfortably still be top 10 regardless which is still amazing considering I didn't expect her to be scoring top 10 hits this time 3 years ago!

So complete unknown Rachel Platten manages a #1 single but well established Demi Lovato can't? Says a lot that...

Also I still yearn for the year The X Factor boosts a decent song for once. Almost every single year they manage to find one of the worst songs possible to lend a helping hand to :puke2:

You have to remember Cowell has it largely stitched up for his Syco acts. Pretty out of order actually, and I say that as an Ella Henderson fan :0)

I don't think it's Demi underperforming tbh, I think it's more that we all compared it to Jess Glynne's pre-order two weeks ago and she overperformed. Without that I'd probably have had Demi down for #3-5  Name power has nothing to do with it anyway, Fight Song is incredibly radio friendly and has support from Radio 1, Radio 2, Heart AND Capital, it's not really a surprise that it's done better.

Oh and I very much doubt The X Factor's boosts are stitched up for Syco acts. Got to love those Syco artists Adele, Jason Mraz and Demi Lovato who have been boosted massively beforehand...

Bieber Gaining HARD!

So happy for this song.

I love Simon Cowell's best friend Demi Lovato, who he spent two years judging with in the US

Well that wasn't the point that was being made http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_18_icon.gif

The point being made was Cowell largely controls the show and takes advantage of his position for his company (and him and his mates). I dont think that's particularly healthy for UK music, but I wont lose any sleep over it.

Yeah Bieber looks safe, although kids go back to school tomorrow, weds will be interested to see how that affects things.

I don't think children going back to school tomorrow will have any affect, they could just buy his song when they come home from school instead. Also I think it would be pretty harsh to go back to school on the first day of September  it would probably be at the end of this week or next Monday when they go back.

How dare a record company support its artists!!!

To me it's at the extreme and unethical end of that spectrum.

The show presents itself as an open talent show with Cowell primarily as a judge. In reality he has gained control of it behind the scenes for himself and his company. They pick who they want, then in future get them promod through appearances, song choices, background music to huge audiences, making themselves lots of money...again this is done surreptitiously.

He gets paid an enormous amount as a judge for the privilege! And gets to employ mates and employees ranging from Sinitta to Olly Murs.

I'm not suggesting anything illegal. It's just not ethical or healthy for UK music.

Anyways sorry for hijacking the thread. Is there somewhere else to discuss?
