Jess Glynne has very impressive sales for a week 2 album, considering it has decent sales on release week the previous week.

Will Sam Smith break the record for most consecutive weeks in the top 10 by a debut album this week?

I do think that Jess Glynne will have one of the biggest selling albums of Q4.

Yep, he's on course to do so. Emeli Sandé's album dropped out after 66 weeks, having beaten the previous record (held by The Beatles' debut) of 62 weeks .

Ugh! :arrr:

I presume Ed Sheeran's album hasn't ever left the Top 10 either yet?

Indeed, it's been there for 62 weeks. That particular record refers to debut albums though (but you probably knew that). :P

Incidentally the record for most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 by any album is 180 weeks - which was achieved by the South Pacific OST between 1958 and 1961, 115 of which were at #1!

yay Ella for holding up, definitely a comfortable top 10 and hopefully top 5 too  makes up for her solo singles missing the top 10 ^_^
The Annie Mac album shouldn't be in there, probably a mistake, each act from #23 is a place higher, technically.
people use 're-peak' to mean both 'get a new peak' and 'return to its original peak' so I can see how it's confusing :P

Yeah when I do my chart I have to stop myself saying re-peak in Ethan's case but I guess I would use the same phrase when it gets a new peak so I instead say "return to its peak" :)

Great sales for Justin! Shame the rate wasn't a few weeks later it'd be a strong contender for #1 :(

And Downtown doing ok atm (a lot better than Arrows did, such a great loss though :( ) hopefully it can stay top 40 this week.

A bit surprised at the fall for Felix! It just sounds so summery and Jasmine's vocals are still great :music:

Ugh at the climbs for Labrinth and 5SOS :/ I guess #66 is ok for Avicii's new track, but it's not that amazing so no big loss there. Great to see Aluna re-entering due to DJ Snake :cheer: And also yay for Duke keeping another top 100 week and Sigala entering the chart on streams only

Demon

Ew at Jealous as well ew

Anyone know where Black Magic is on Wednesday? Really want it to get another week in the top 10!

It's at #11.

Okay it does now look like The Weeknd will probably beat Foals to #1 :( I'm not OPPOSED to The Weeknd getting there (the album does feature one of my favourite songs of the year in 'The Hills' after all) but poor Foals probably missing out again.
I'm pretty disappointed with The Weeknd's numbers so far and very glad about Foals'. I'm sure BBTM will do well in the long run though and easily become his biggest seller.

I don't imagine it'll be a hard feat to achieve.

Both Foals and The Weeknd's albums are pretty incredible, but think I'd rather see Foals hit #1 just to see them reach that feat and further cement themselves as one of the big current UK bands.
