 87. XYconstant - Do It Well

This is easily one of my top 5 songs of the year, simply sublime, better than anything on Years and Years album (which is good, but lacks something)

Not knocking Taylor Swift or anything, but her new video was a VEVO advert before the Wet Dollars video and it sounded nauseating! I don't know if it's likely to become a hit because it's her but I really hope not. The least you could say about songs like Shake It Off is that they were catchy.

Good to see Hotline Bling and 679 consistent and they're both doing well on streaming too so let's hope they get into the chart!

Nelly/Jeremih down at #78 is sad, The Fix sounds like a hit-in-waiting to me. Need some promotion and a video quick. Clubs are loving it right now.

I adore 'Do It Well', it'd be nice if it could get some support but I doubt it will.

Great to see Kygo and Ella back in the top 10, hopefully radio support it even though it's not as commercial sounding as his previous tracks!

Well I guess Sam Smith was a no-brainer if they want the Bond theme to be successful, but still :/ He just seems TOO insipid and dull to do a traditionally dramatic, dark song. I'll reserve judgement but I'm not getting a good feeling from this.

It was a completely uninspired choice considering he's already seen as the male Adele. Lana Del Rey would've been a far better option.

I remember reading that the Bond theme would be Sam Smith ages ago, just speculation of course but it sounded like it could have been legit :( I tend to really like Bond themes but not sure if I can see Sam pulling one off, we'll see I guess...
Oh gosh I remember that rumour floating about a while back also, really not quite sure what to make of it. I generally love the dramatic and grandeur nature of Bond themes ('Skyfall' last time for example was fantastic as well as some of the classics) but I can't really imagine being bowled over by a Sam Bond song. We'll see. I guess it's a surefire conclusion that it will one-up 'Skyfall' to the top spot however it may sound. :P
They wouldn't give it to Sam Smith if they didn't think he'd absolutely nail it. Fingers crossed it'll be a bit more powerful than "Stay with Me" - the track he's currently known for.

Fave bond themes are Tomorrow Never Dies and You Know My Name.

The worst has to be Die Another Day.

Die Another Day >>>>>>>>>
Hopefully I'll only be putting a few more than signs between LMLYD and Sam's theme (if we're lucky)
REALLY?!

Yeah, I've always really liked it. What's wrong with it?

The World Is Not Enough is by far my favourite, and A View To A Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies & Goldeneye follow as the next best

The Man With The Golden Gun and For Your Eyes Only are pretty damn awful

The Living Daylights by A-Ha is a personal fav of mine :)

Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day >>>>>

Also woeth mentioning Surrender by k.d lang which think is from the same movie as Sheryl's song.
