 30. Nick Jonas - Levels ..... Such a random climb considering the initial flop! :cheer:

Seems to be doing really well at commercial radio now, so I think this is going to hang around for a bit yet

Yaya, I love Levels. It is his best single so far IMO!
It's really bugging me that people keep labelling OA/OS songs that don't reach their peak STRAIGHT AWAY as 'flops' (or 'initial flops'), that is what caused OA/OS to fail a few years ago. Give them a chance to build airplay, just because they peak lower than what they perhaps would have done, does not mean they are flopping. And just because they appear in the Top 100 for a week and then vanish, does not mean they have been and gone. Especially if the artist is currently in flavour, and deemed 'relevant', they will receive airplay later on so that they will reenter. 'Levels' is a prime example, it is now receiving A List airplay and is 59p, so of course it was gonna climb back up!

Agreed, it is very rare that a song will capture the interest of the public immediately. Only fan base acts, charity singles and artists that are massive can garner enough support to debut at No. 1 - the majority climb there over time as seen by the R.City/Levine and Macklemore songs. I think the record companies will be forced to adopt this strategy now that downloads have collapsed and streaming tends to take a while to peak.

Not so random, it is playlisted on Radio 1 now and also discounted to 59p :D

Yep, well said!

4th December?! Premièred a bit too soon then IMO.

I always like Wretch singles though and Anne Marie was good on Rumour Mill so will give it a listen!

Just listened to it and IT. IS. BRILLIANT.

Wretch does it again. :D

Glad to see somebody else likes it as much as I do. :D

Wretch 32 is a very underrated artist, the quality of his singles are fantastic and I cannot wait for his album. I feel he is often overlooked in favour of Tinie Tempah, who's features have kept his name massive in between his albums.

Much love to Wretch.

New Anastacia single 'Take This Chance' is out currently no. 525

Quite like the new Wretch song (sounds v. like Tinie Tempah).

Much better than the Melissa Steel - You Love Me. thing. Which was horrendous!

The Ben Haenow single is released in less than 2 weeks. Normally a Syco release takes about 8 weeks to actually hit iTunes. Little Mix also did OA/OS with LMLY. Looks like even SYCO are saying goodbye to far-off releases?

So hyped for Alone No More into the top 100! I just hope it can make the top ten officially, still best part of a week to rack up the pre-orders :D
New Sigma single not connecting with the public it seems?

It will receive promotion when "Glitterball" starts to fade away

It's only just been playlisted by Capital and doesn't have Radio 1 yet, so it's no wonder :kink:

Makes sense, it has been around for a month or so now but there's been little hype around it.

Even so, I'd be surprised if it got into the top 10! I like the song, but would have liked more of a Diztortion influence. Love Jacob Banks though, mad talented singer.

So pleased that 'Levels' is climbing <3 (Not that it deserves to be a hit over 'Chains' but NEVER MIND.)
