It had three number ones and one of them wasn't "Cry Me A River". The other two were "Loneliness" and "You Said No"

To be fair, that Now Album also included 'In Da Club' which was one of the biggest songs of the decade!

If "Alright With Me" isn't album-only, they may have to push the release for this forward like they did with "Keep Up"

"You Don't Own Me" appears on the House Of Fraser Xmas ad which is probably the reason they decided to include it on NOW 92. CD 1 is light blue with yellow snowflakes and CD 2 vice versa. It's on their Instagram page
And sometimes labels hold on to rights until they know they made all the money out of it, like Baby One More Time on 44. The lae inclusion just means a few more additional sales.

I assumed that Baby One More Time taking so long to appear on a Now was connected with the equally late appearances of 'Tragedy', 'That Don't Impress Me Much' and 'Kiss Me' on the same volume - a few really massive megahits all held back for Now 44 so it sold more copies for the millennium, basically a mini best of the year rather than just the usual late summer/autumn period. Given how much that one sold it was clearly a good decision.

Another few late features on Now albums I can think of were:-

All Saints - Pure Shores - featured on Now 47, released before Now 45 in Feb 2000.

Westlife - Uptown Girl - featured on Now 50, released before Now 48 in March 2001.

My copy arrived early today and I love Disc 1. Disc 2 I haven't really shown much interest in really.

Also! I've made my version of NOW 92 :D

"What Do You Mean?", "Runnin' (Lose It All)", "Cool For The Summer", "Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better)", "Focus" and "Alright With Me" are all album-only. Making AWM album-only will dent the sales of the song when it's released in three weeks

No track credit information in the booklet :o it gives a website address to see full credits.

Thankfully the pictures and write up are still there though.

They're probably releasing so many Now CD's, they don't have the time to do the full credits :P

I'll be interested to see the opening sales of this album, it feels like the least hyped winter Now release in quite some time, perhaps because it's getting overshadowed completely by Adele. Still, it's No.4 on Amazon right now, behind the Elvis album, which has already been out three weeks, and the Coldplay pre-order.

Part of me wonders if it's because of the increasingly slower chart, leading to the inclusion of quite a few flops and WTF moments. A lot of people will look at the tracklisting and wonder what on earth they've been drinking at Now HQ, probably not realising that actually there have probably only been about 30 bona fide smashes since the last Now album, about 7 of which they couldn't get the rights for.

If they didn't keep coming up with these unnecessary spin-offs, the albums in the main series would have even bigger sales
I feel the same Rich, and the fact there are so few tracks in the top 100 on iTunes kind of says it all.

I also feel like Writing's On The Wall is the wrong song to lead the album, I can see why they've done it - it's an exclusive song and the first Bond theme to hit #1 in the UK etc but in terms of cultural impact, Justin and Adele have dominated the last couple of months. They couldn't get Adele so really Justin should have got the pimp slot.

The Rachel Platten write up in the book is laughable too, Jenny Fisher clearly couldn't be arsed to do any research about poor Rachel, probably with the assumption that she's going a near guaranteed one hit wonder, bless ha.

KSI's #45 smasha gets three lines while Rachel gets 'Fight Song was a top ten track in various countries, and reaching the top spot in the UK'

Yeah 'Hello' was made for Disc 1 Track 1, even the name fits. It's a big shame they couldn't get it.

What's the writeup for You Don't Own Me? Does it mention the TV advert or just "Here's a random hit from Australia that might be big here in a few weeks"?

Now 93 is looking to have an early release because of the early Easter next year - probably around the middle of March, making it the earliest Spring Now since 2008's Now 69. Difficult to know yet if they'll have enough hits to fill the album between now and then.

NOW 93 will most likely be released on 18th March as Easter falls on the 27th

It mentions the advert. Doesn't say it's already topped the charts in Aus, which I thought it might have done. Without a radio push it probably won't make the top 75, so praying it gets some support!

I guess it's a 4 month gap, much like the gap between the summer and winter releases, so it will probably be a similar scenario. 25-28 top ten hits and a load of flops/songs from successful albums/guesses at future hits.

I thought they had to put song writing credits for legal reasons.

It's being advertised on ITV1 a lot though. Every advertising break here in London yesterday morning. Didn't watch ITV last night so no idea if it carried on like that.

I agree about track 1. I expected it to be Justin because I had a feeling Adele wouldn't be included.

At least they didn't pick some random nothing track to lead though coughbluecurtainfallscough
