Do you really think Justin will be that low? His Spotify numbers are also huge right now and he's selling just under double of KDA on iTunes. #2 looks good to me at this stage. Sam Smith will be screwed over by streaming (particularly when Adele, Justin, Drake and The Weeknd are considerably further ahead).

That was posted before I saw the spotify sales for Justin, he seems to be settling for #2 now, Sam Smith will probably still be within the top 5, with the film out on Monday.

Bloody hell! Good to see people will still pay for downloads if they're interested enough in the song/artist.

Incredible sales for any song, let alone one that nobody had heard until yesterday. I think the song would have sold a lot less with a held back release, as people would have just waited a week for the album if it had been scheduled for Nov 13th for example. (Either that or decided by that point that they don't like it enough to buy after all!)

Get those juggernaut sales Godele :D

5Sauce will of course get the #1 album, despite the lack of singles success this era. Interested to see how the rest plays out; Paul/Jacqui, Carrie, Bryan, Bocelli and Joanna could all reach the Top 10

Adele's success isn't that surprising to be honest, it's a great track. I think the top 3 this week will be

1) Adele

2) Justin Bieber

3) Sam Smith

Along with his Graham Norton performance, the film's publicity will boost Sam, and the physical single has also been released.

Apparently 'Hello' has been streamed 550,000 times on UK Spotify so far.

Is that 55k in stream chart points or 5.5k?

Forgive my ignorance! x

That will be 550,000 streams, not chart points

Streams still count towards 'chart points' though.

Oh, I guess I was underestimating her in the iTunes thread then if she's done nearly 70k downloads already! It must only be a matter of time before 100k+ downloads is close to impossible though. Pretty surprised she's apparently looking on course for streaming records as well (I don't know why I should ever be surprised at Adele breaking records by this stage lol), I expect that of people like 1D and Bieber but as huge an artist as she is, Adele's audience seems a bit older / more 'casual' music fans which doesn't seem as conducive to streaming records.

Is it true that Adele has sold 70k downloads already?

And how many streaming sales are we expecting her to get by the end of the week?

That's what we've been told. That figure is for yesterday's sales only. Obviously, it is a lot higher than that by now.

Surely she'll have sold another 60k today at least. Her lead has increased since yesterday. She could easily be on 150k by Monday's update and that's without the obviously huge streaming numbers. It's fantastic to see sales like this again.

This... suddenly 250K looks so easy :|

Easily will be 200K for the week, she'll probably reach that on Tuesday.

50K yesterday which will include streaming now so probably about an additional 45K sales. An average of 25K per day for the rest of the week will take her to 240-250K which is what I'm expecting (inc. streaming).

Abandon the release schedule for the rest of 2015- Adele is taking up residence at #1.

There might be some streaming data added now but most of it doesn't get added until quite a bit later in the week, usually. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's still a good 10/20k missing from that total.

With the album dropping next month I have to agree with that, the album is going to keep the single on top, 8 to 9 weeks incoming :D and could possibly return back to #1 the second week of Jan 2016, till we get sick of it  The charts are going to get boring week on week. She is coming for Bryan Adams weave. ;)

I'm not sure it'll be quite like that as downloads seem to fluctuate a lot these days and even though streaming may keep up as the AirPlay rises this week and next it still probably won't break 40k most weeks.
