1 Justin Bieber Sorry

2 Adele Hello

Did the person or people trying to get EODM not get the memo about streaming? The song isn't even top 200 on Spotify.

Adele's 'certain run at No.1 until X Factor' suspended after only three weeks! Happy for Bieber, if only becuase it's a better song than What Do You Mean and has had more cultural impact than a lot of No.1s this year.
It's pretty incredible that Bieber has the power to dethrone Adele! Who would ever have thought that he'd come back with such a strong era?
Where Are U Now really made Bieber more credible. Without that, his solo material wouldn't have had the radio support to take off honestly.

Where Are U Now helped things I'm sure, especially widening his fanbase, but I'm sure he would have had radio support either way, he's a massive star with a huge fanbase, and Sorry especially is too strong, radios would have supported it regardless.

Yeah, agree that he would have had radio support regardless, but Where Are U Now definitely helped make him more credible and 'cool'.

One of my friends described 'Where Are U Now' as his "revival song" (before 'What Do You Mean' emerged), and that seems fair.

I highly doubt Radio 1 and capital would have refused to playlist 'What Do You Mean' regardless though, so the outcome probably would have been the same either way.

They probably wouldn't have refused, but they would be a bit wary I imagine. The song would have to prove itself more imo
It's sort of similar to Katy Perry piggybacking onto those Timbaland and 30H!3 singles in early 2010 to remind us all of her existence before she came back bigger than ever later that year.

This is what I meant really. For all his large fanbase, plenty more people can't stand Justin Bieber and radio stations are aware of that.

Also, tapping into the sound of 'now' has helped him. The tropical house sound of What Do You Mean? and Sorry with an accessible Pop vocal made them both surefire smashes. Not without Where Are U Now though. That really opened doors for him.

Working with Skrillex seems to have done Justin's career wonders, he has a lot to be thankful for.

I don't mind JB having 1 week at #1 with 'Sorry' as Adele is clearly going to be straight back there next week with the release of the album and her TV special airing.

It looks as though 'Save a Prayer' is falling now, and will fall quite quickly judging by the last update.
It seems Jess Glynne may miss the top 5 on Friday. CIN and XF aren't doing the song any justice or maybe it's lack of airplay what isn't doing the song justice

Am I the only one that thinks that whole thing is really inappropriate?

I must admit, I do too. It's not like the proceeds of the song are going to charity or anything

Or the fact it's on an album which people have already bought
