She *is* huge. :P my point wasn't to bring up the debate that oh my Darwin she is ready being dropped as we speak. I am wondering why she's even bigger everywhere else than here.

I'm not getting this tbh. Her last album is the 4th best selling album of all time in the UK. We don't even know what 25 is going to sell yet.

How are you coming to the conclusion that she's bigger everywhere else? Through the single sales? I suppose if the single tracks are not as high on iTunes, that suggests people are buying the whole album? Just a thought.

Nathan is doing fine, and he will increase in sales obviously after X Factor. I didn't expect it to go top ten personally. And it's barely top thirty on overall airplay.

He also would have picked up substantial pre order sales. I think he could be as high as top 3 in Mint's flimsy update tomorrow.

Yeah Nathan's doing fine lol, comparing it to Kiss Me Quick. Radio 1 support not being there will surely be damaging to this song. Capital and Heart alone isn't enough for a song to be big normally.

I actually wonder what planet some people live on sometimes. What on earth were some of you expecting from "Hello" if you're disappointed in the rate it has dropped in sales? It's guaranteed to sail past a million and then some. Is that not enough anymore? It's a massive hit and I can't see any logic in this argument that she should somehow be "bigger" in the UK. Tell me what other artist in this country is commanding the album sales she's going to inevitably get this week?

Hello's also likely to increase dramatically in sales this week, seeing as it's now number 1 again, and Sorry isn't showing any signs of slowing down. So using that as a benchmark, it certainly looks like she's going to have a hefty increase. In her 5th week.

Could Bieber get another week?

He could do. Not having the album on Spotify means Hello will get a lot less streams than we all initially predicted.

I wonder what the next highest cherry picked song from 25 will be. All I Ask will be a killer of a single if its ever picked. I can see When We Were Young dropping off as the week progresses.

Also with Hello I think its performed pretty well, not sure it will sell a million downloads but with Christmas coming up if its performed anywhere I'll keep fairly steady sales. But also Hello will become her 6th consecutive single to be sell 600K+ of downloads, across three albums. I think the Spice Girls may have been the last act to have 6 consecutive singles sell over 600k which just shows how amazing her success has been.

"Turning Tables" and "Rumour Has It" can't have both sold over 600k each surely?

A lack of streaming will certainly damage Adele's chances of beating Bieber's feats from this week - hopefully once it's released on streaming sites though some of the tracks can enter the T40.

Population usa 2015 - 320m

Population uk 2015 - 64m

Population times bigger

Adele hello sales

uk 639k after 3 weeks (725 to date) but 515k digital downlands

Us digital downloads 2.3 million after 3 weeks

Only 4 and half times the sales

If anything adele is slightly more popular in the UK however I'd say she is just as popular

Saying that in the UK at least I always saw adele as more of an album seller than a singles

Yes SLY and RITD possible exceptions but 19 didn't have a massive single sold over 2 million

21 sold nearly 5 million

Many albums by other artists gave had multiple hit singles and sold very little

Hi new poster here been lurking for months lol

Oh welcome to the forum! I hope you'll enjoy it ;)

I really really don't get why some people say Adele is not as bit as she should be and even the argument is boring now. I think she proved it already she's the biggest right now and she will be a very constant album seller.

Heck she has 10 songs in the iTunes top 40  if that's not popular I dk what is

Yeah they might not go officialy due to no Spotify but then again would they be so high

Would be nice if something comes out of the blue and sky rockets though

We haven't had a pre-order update for a while so I thought I give it a go but it wasn't worth doing it really

MYFML is a million seller and from the album 19.

SLY & RITD million sellers from the album 21.

Hello soon a million seller from the album 25.

Skyfall heading towards 900k and selling well.

In the next few weeks she will become the first solo artist EVER to have 4 million selling singles in the UK (excluding "featured" artists) and a 5th million seller not far away.

So although she is , probably correctly, perceived as an album artist, she is actually a record breaking singles artist in the UK also.

We haven't had a pre-order update for a while so I thought I give it a go but it wasn't worth doing it really

This is very good! The female vocals reminds me of Won't Look Back.

DJ Fresh really likes releasing in February then, this will be his fourth high-profile Feb release after 'Hot Right Now', 'Dibby Dibby Sound' and 'Gravity'. Hopefully it does well
