Isn't the iTunes gift card market dead now? It used to have a huge impact but I don't think there was much last year and this year will be even less - Most kids will want a Spotify subscription or will use the gift card on a months streaming pass on iTunes.

I think it does have an effect still, people still buy iTunes gift cards at Christmas, it's smaller than before though obviously. I guess we'll see!

No decent commercial support?

Not really, it's on the lowest list on Capital (their version of the C list) and Heart haven't really bothered with it which is surprising as it seems up their street.

it´s top 5 on the Airplay chart so must have support from somewhere, I think saying it doesn't have radio support is not accurate

It's getting really strong support from BBC Radio 1 though and is #5 on overall airplay and #12 on commercial airplay. So it's getting a lot more than no commercial support. :P Will be annoying if it misses the top 10, but should stick around a while and sell well and help the album sell well too.

Agreed, although worth it for messing up the Big Top 40.

They ended up charting it twice. Once as the 'album' version. Which is so stupid considering they're both identical, technically there isn't an 'album version'.

Well I did say no decent commercial airplay, which may have been an exaggeration but it's totally different from saying none at all :P

11. Nathan Sykes - Over and Over Again

15. Olly Murs - Kiss Me

This is where these songs were before they were performed on the X Factor.

Not surprised about the Nathan boost at all actually, he gave a good performance. Shame about the song being really boring though.
Louisa's "Let it Go" performance also up to #12.
The Nathan song is such a snooze fest - Horrible! Pleased to see Take That jump to #41 and Anastacia's album climbing to #33 after their Strictly performances

5. Nathan Sykes - Over and Over Again :cheer:

7. Rudimental feat Ed Sheeran - Lay It All On Me

8. Olly Murs - Kiss Me (it wasn't a good performance, right?)

It was ok I thought? Wasn't not good surely

Great for Nathan. He's got a fantastic voice and seems lovely. Really pleased for him.
Pleased Take That have jumped into the top 40 again

Nathan from 0.2737 up to 0.5875 in one update :o

I thinkhe might even get to No. 2 if he increases on like that. Of course Adele will still be No 2. combined though

Good to see Olly climbing, it has had a steady run so far and is building up sales. I hope the new version of the album can make the top 10. Hopefully Take That's strictly performance can see them re enter the top 75 or top 100 at worst and also increase sales of the new version of their album.
