Seriously, does nobody hear 'Champagne Kisses' when 'Water Under The Bridge' starts? I haven't seen anybody mention it on the forums I go on and I'm starting to think I'm imagining it :cry:

 

 

The first few seconds are identical!

After a couple of listens, I think this a strong album and there's not a sole track I dislike.

 

21 had higher highs I think but I always essentially classed it as a 6 song album as I never listened to the others. 25 will almost certainly suffer in comparison but I think that's because, like me, people forget about the other tracks on 21 that weren't as great.

Oh and my one grumble is that Send My Love is far too early in the track listing, it jars after Hello and works better as a track 6 kinda song with the others shunted a spot earlier.

I'm surprised the BBC special didn't give more of a boost to the tracks. Her domination in the US is impressive though, and I guess in every single country in the world :lol:

Once you take into account it had 100k amazon pre-orders and sales at other retailers (Target in particular), it's most likely sold 1.2 million+ on its first day.

 

She has SNL tonight and then a couple more promo slots this week. Very good chance of selling 2.5 million+ first week in the US!

She had 500k pre-orders total and Billboard stated she sold 900k from iTunes alone first day. She had 100k amazon pre-orders too in the US, so she's sold at least 1 million copies first day in the US. Amazing!

I thought that as well! Probably because Paul Epworth produced I Miss You & Sweetest Devotion and has done a lot of production for Flo, even if less so on HBHBHB.

 

Edit: Remedy has finally clicked with me and LOVING it. I still would have liked something a bit more upbeat from the Tedder collab especially after Rumour Has It. Only song I'm not really loving at the moment is Million Years Ago, I still find it too Lovesong-y.

I don't like it either yet it's said to be her favourite.

When we were young is going to be a hit. It's not my favourite but it's an instant classic. It's a good album seller.

She performed 'Hello' and 'When We Were Young' flawlessly on SNL last night :wub:. Much as I adore the latter, I was hoping for a live debut of another track for her second performance, but the song's obviously really connecting with people so it's a bit of a no-brainer and I'm certainly not complaining.

 

(The 'Hello' one doesn't seem to have a reliable HD upload yet and the below may soon be taken down so here's an alternative link~)

Her live vocals have been getting huge universal praise on Twitter/everywhere, as far as I've seen. She really has the world in the palm of her hand right now. :lol:
