I think I posted about this last year, but someone should kickstart a campaign to make THIS Christmas number one *.*

I care! But I do agree, it is excessive...

I care - and it's not excessive.

The highest profile new Xmas album in the Xmas chart...keep the updates coming (and buy it if you haven't already, it'll do you for years). :cheer:

Kylie actually seems more relevant this year than Louisa and that's all I see on here...... Just offering support and my opinions. She may not sell like Adele, 1D and Bieber anymore but she has songs littered in the ITunes top 1500, is in the media and doing the promo with a fantastic album that is looking to sell 100k in 6 weeks. I am offering my predictions. You make out I am mentioning her just because its Kylie..... no I am mentioning because she is in the charts and has an album out and there are still Kylie fans out their amongst you youngsters.

and Christmas is the season to be Excessive in everything. Amen

I think what's currently sitting at number 3 on ITunes is currently how a lot of people are feeling -_-

lol which is being outsold by a 5 year old xmas album currently, just saying :P

Here's a few Kylie songs hopefully cracking into top 100 chart not this week but hopefully next week

Only You -

with James Corden. Sadly suffers from both of them too busy to do a proper video.... Interesting this track is actually moving back up ITunes chart and now 112th

Every Day's Like Christmas - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgrywU-IJHs written by Chris Martin who also does the whistle at the beginning and some backing vocals

Every Day's Like Christmas (Stock Aitken & Waterman Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt_rjscKga4

100 Degrees -

with sister Dannii

I am guessing she will sing Every Day's Like Xmas on Graham Norton on Friday night.... to be filmed tonight..... should be good promo as Star Wars cast on and also David Beckham.....

Also Kylie Standard album getting good sales already after being reduced to 5.99, hopefully stays 22nd in charts but would love it to sneak past Taylor and Fleur and grab a top 20 spot again

This is getting excessive, I'm a Kylie fan myself, but I don't drone on and on and on and on and on. Change the record please. In the end its only a Xmas album that is going to fall like a brick in the new year.

I was in hmv Birmingham this afternoon and Louisa's single was unusually inconspicuous, by previous years' standards. The winner's single is usually in the way, in a pile of hundreds at the front door. Louisa's single was just in one, small pile, at the side. This must mean either;

(a) that they've sold thousands and only have a few left

or

(b) hmv don't think it's worth promoting and can't be bothered.

I bought two copies, almost out of sympathy.

^

And what about 1Ds album?

I am a Kylie fan myself, but we have to except the singles wont be making a big impression on the charts. The album is doing as well as expected or maybe a little better, lets leave at that.

It's not likely that the physical single will be selling much anyway; if I worked at HMV and was monitoring the performance of the song's digital units before its release I wouldn't think it was worth putting out so many copies at the front of the store either. There could be less copies shipped than expected, which would make sense given the song's lack of hype and selling power, though I'm sure that Simon would want to have it sell as many copies as possible. On Amazon, the CD single is at a lower position than the usual placing of an X Factor's winners single following its release.

Lack of hype? It's had hours of prime-time television every weekend for four months.

Well folks that's it for the next fortnight, we should have a Monday updates from OCC & MW, otherwise chart info will be very sparse for the next 2 weeks, iTunes will be your best friend, and other social media forums.

I must stress this out please don't ask where the mids are. :nocheer: -_-

I spoke of a lack of hype for the song, in which there unquestionable is no hype for it.

Hope Louisa has the chance to do better with an original single.

She'll probably get no type of promo from Syco/ Simon now though. :(

I would argue most XF releases have little hype but I suppose you could argue that's a matter of opinion - people are buying into the artist, hence songs like Miley Cyrus The Climb oeaked at 11 a year or less before the Joe version sold hundreds of thousands of copies.
