I'm kind of amazed how The Corrs have done with this, quite honestly I've heard nothing about this release outside of Buzzjack and seeing a promotional poster of it at London Bridge tube station. 3 weeks in the top 20 at this time of year is impressive!
In response to another poster's comment, there's no way Britain's Got Talent is moving to the winter. It's only on air for 8 weeks and X Factor's on air for more than that and twice a week, so it's not going to fill the time and the last thing they need to do is increase Britain's Got Talent's hours.

They could increase it to 13 weeks by having the live shows over successive weekends instead of in half-term week. However, I suspect they will want to keep it in roughly its current slot.

It is surely more likely that they would move The Voice to fill the current X Factor slot.

After this, there'll be *no* album - she'll be lucky if Cowell gives her bus fare to the nearest job centre!

On the plus side though, this will kill XF stone dead. :yahoo:

Blimey, and they say I'm unlikeable.

good bit of Promo for Kylie Xmas on The One Show. Rose from 41 and 39 on ITunes to 35 and 29.
They aren't really going to scrap an album over a single which will probably come in at #9, will they? It's been ages since Labrinth had a #1 single, and he is a Syco artist. I did wonder what'd happen if Louisa missed the #1. Will people celebrate the fact that something else is there or will they spend the whole time sticking the boot into X Factor because no one's ever done that before? Obviously the latter.

OK, so it's not what Simon Cowell would have expected. Vs previous standards it does look poor but this is the first year it has only had 4 days of sales and only two days of physicals. Physicals boosted Shayne Ward's winners single by a huge amount from what I recall. I'm not saying it will boost Louisa's numbers by a huge amount but to a reasonable final total I imagine. But he's stuck it through a lack of #1 singles from many of his artists. It took nearly 3 years for Little Mix to get a second #1.

Louisa does have less days but in the past the biggest sales of the first week were 24 hours after the show. I think Ben Haenow sold 75k downloads in one day alone last year? The song being poor does not help but the fact that so few people were moved enough to buy her single directly after she won, does not bode well for her. Even the poorest song choices (some of which have been mentioned here) have done a million times better as people get caught up in the moment supporting their favourite. For example I still bought Joe McElderry's winning single even though i thought it was a poor choice just to support him. I don't know how many people are voting these days but maybe the fact that RnB were quite close to her means she's not that popular a winner. There wasn't any strong competition really.

Sorry Louisa fans but no one is going to care less about the days thing .... its all about chart position and sales.......

Wasn't she in College before going on the X Factor? I doubt she will go on the dole if she doesn't release an album but of course there will be an album most likely next year.

of course there will be an album most likely next year.

She has an album due out 26th February

She has an album due out 26th February

That date's likely a place holder. I suspect she'll release in October/November with an X-factor performance.

Rather shocked at how badly the song is doing. Although it'll hopefully still be a top 5 hit and go silver.

But what if there is no X-Factor next year? Maybe insiders know if there is or not, and if not may be trying to think of a different strategy for her.

If they do go fr 26 feb an album of covers is best we can hope for maybe she'll do what leona wouldnt

Her best shot is to aim for bgt live week

ugh Really wanted Adele to cross 2M this week. Impressive numbers anywys.

Santa Baby 307th to 235th

She's coming for that Christmas week smash :yahoo:  :yahoo: :cheer:

I'm my dreams I know..... I would settle for any to have 1 week in the top 40 :(

Louisa is doing text santa, so might see a boost in sales after that performance

...which will be too late for this week's chart.
