December 16, 201510 yr So around 370-380K for Adele.. not too bad for week 4 :P 111k in the last 2 days, if there's a slight increase in Wed/Thur sales over Mon/Tue, might hit 390k.
December 16, 201510 yr The Louisa performance is a shocker in comparison to anything weve seen from XFactor winners. The show is slipping (but not THAT much, Sundays show got 8m+ viewers), Louisa is not a weird or naff winner-- so I think its largely down to a dreadful song. I bet she's cursing Cowell for that. Nothing negative seems to have hit the media yet, so they seem to be managing it well, but its gonna happen and soon.

On the plus side though, this will kill XF stone dead. :yahoo: They aren't really going to scrap an album over a single which will probably come in at #9, will they? It's been ages since Labrinth had a #1 single, and he is a Syco artist. I did wonder what'd happen if Louisa missed the #1. Will people celebrate the fact that something else is there or will they spend the whole time sticking the boot into X Factor because no one's ever done that before? Obviously the latter. In response to another poster's comment, there's no way Britain's Got Talent is moving to the winter. It's only on air for 8 weeks and X Factor's on air for more than that and twice a week, so it's not going to fill the time and the last thing they need to do is increase Britain's Got Talent's hours. OK, so it's not what Simon Cowell would have expected. Vs previous standards it does look poor but this is the first year it has only had 4 days of sales and only two days of physicals. Physicals boosted Shayne Ward's winners single by a huge amount from what I recall. I'm not saying it will boost Louisa's numbers by a huge amount but to a reasonable final total I imagine. But he's stuck it through a lack of #1 singles from many of his artists. It took nearly 3 years for Little Mix to get a second #1.

December 16, 201510 yr Thanks for the update, guys! I think if Louisa had a full 7 days of sales she'd be going in at #3 behind both Justin singles. Which isn't great. She's underperforming (flopping, if you'd prefer) regardless of not having a weekly sale. I do hope that this doesn't affect her chances of being popular and successful outside of her coronation single; if she targets the right audience she will do well. As fantastic of a singer as she is, I never really understood what audience she was targetting and what kind of artist she would become. Syco need to treat her post-X Factor career very carefully. It doesn't look like the X Factor final has had much of an effect on our guest performer's albums either. Are One Direction still #9?
