:ne: 67 Flume - Never Be Like You (feat. Kai)

Has he ever done remotely this well here? It's just become his highest charting (on iTunes) song to date in Aus at #9.

All I Ask still there, same as Monster at #33 now
Why did Stooshe get banned from radio after waterfalls I thought it was a decent cover

His remix of You & Me by Disclosure in 2013 narrowly missed out on the top 40.

 08. Craig David x Big Nastie // When the Bassline Drops

 10. Little Mix ft Jason Derulo // Secret Love Song

You were probably one of very few to think that, however it did flop really badly and that's probably why.

And Little Mix got overtaken again by Grace in a short period of time! :arrr:

30. Charlie Puth - One Call Away

85. Zara Larsson - Lush Life :cheer:

110. Rachel Platten - Stand By You :D [Why has this climbed 75 places this morning? I know she performed at GAY last night but that wouldn't explain the sudden climb)

Great to see Flume doing well. Fantastic song! Reminds me of something FKA Twigs would do.
Shawn Mendes should begin to pull away at #1 now the weekend effect is dying away - plus he will be at #1 on Big Top 40 with.. I forget his name (Martin Holmes?), anyway that should be added promo too.

Don't be silly, it's Aston Merrygold.

It peaked at 21 so not a complete flop and it was a good cover imo

but by their previous standards with black hearts longetivity it could be seen as minor flop

Howver tere was something somewhere that it wasnt includedon their album because they wanted to pretend it didnt happen ;)

Well it was only 2 weeks in the chart and as you said it peaked at #21, I still would say it was a flop in comparison to Black Heart or Love Me, in fact their 4th single, Slip charted also higher.

Chart Run: 21-45-OUT

I think it was a very poor cover tbh :(

You just shouldn't ever cover an artists signature song as people will not accept another version. Waterfalls is the TLC song we all know and love, just don't touch it.
Waterfalls, I think was originally recorded for CiN I think, but they changed to Girls Aloud that year.

It would be great for Flume to finally have somewhat of a hit, though he deserved success many times before

This one is my favourite from him, didn't chart anywhere though

that still doesn't explain why they released it as a single instead of say having it as the B-side to 'Slip' which would have otherwise been another top ten hit for them. very much a good example in what not to do when managing a girlband.

Flume's best is Talk Is Cheap  Never Be Like You is great too though, really enjoying it on a first few listens, agree with the FKA Twigs comparison which is no bad thing.

you're confusing Flume with Chet Faker :P [they did do a song together [Drop the Game] so i don't blame you]

I don't think Slip was even on the album at the time they released Waterfalls! The album was scheduled for a release around then but got pushed back, and given new artwork, some new tracks and a new name. They did have much better options than Waterfalls on the original though.
