It's already been on the R1 playlist I believe, though I didn't really feel it was 'pushed' properly. Remember hearing it a good 8/9 months ago (IIRC) and thinking it was one of the best tracks he'd done to date, and then they went and released the Robin Thicke collaboration instead. Happy for this to crossover soon and become a UK hit too.

 

Stitches #1 and #100 in the last Kworb update! Can now get a more accurate combined figure, let's see:

2 0.7261 Justin Bieber - Love Yourself

 

So second version of Stitches almost counteracts the second version of Love Yourself :D (not entirely but enough for the #1 of course!)

Stitches is well established at no1 on downloads now by the looks of that albeit it's selling maybe 35k for the week.

 

Also can someone give me a reminder of why Fast Car has risen so quickly this week - what promo has it had?

That top 2 is f'n dreadful. Love Yourself sounds like an Uncle Kracker song and Stitches sounds like it belongs in 1998. :puke2:

Yes at this doing well after one performance. Really hoping the radio'll get on board this second single - the material on the album is all great.

 

Is it doing well? Given how few sales you need to be top 50 on itunes now I'd say it is doing poorly. I don't know the viewing figures for recent NTAs but I'd have thought it got 7 or 8 million viewers and she cant get 500 downloads from that.

Doing slightly better than it was before / than Ben Haenow does doesn't mean it's doing well lol ~ I'm sure it has a decent chance of being a hit when its airplay etc. gets going but let's not pretend low top 100 is amazing especially when it's just got there off a performance on a pretty major awards show.

#87 is nothing incredible but the song itself has no airplay, no music video so it's a decent enough start. I mean the X Factor final had less of an impact 'More And More' has had, look at Ben Haenow's new singles performance despite the promo and higher airplay.

It's not. But it's SO much better than I had envisioned it doing. But tbh, I didn't think NTAs actually had much of an effect in general tbh. People don't watch for the music, lets be honest. People aren't going to just download a song they don't know off of one performance. So I think it's done well! (But then again I'd expected about a top 150 peak before falling out fairly quickly as airplay kicked in and had little to no effect)

Pull the other one, you know exactly how low itunes sales are now, a 1 minute video of Adele singing All I ask gets it to #3, that hot Jack guy performs on Graham Norton it goes top 20 etc.
