Yeah. I hope they can at least reveal track 1 on Thursday like they've done in the past

Track 1 will obviously be Bieber's 'Love Yourself', but I'm holding out hope it could be Lukas Graham.

It will be between those two. Jenny Fisher tends to put a new #1 as track 1 whereas Ashley Abram put the biggest selling song as track 1. For eg. on NOW 80, if Jenny Fisher compiled it, "We Found Love" would have been track 1 but because Ashley Abram compiled it, "Moves Like Jagger" was track 1 as it was the biggest selling contender at the time

I'm really intrigued on which artists have boycotted this NOW. Adele, Rihanna and Drake may not be on it which will really not go down well with a lot of the general public. HOWEVER, I have a theory that Adele and Drake may appear due to "Someone Like You" and "Preach" appearing on the BRIT Awards 2016 album.

I also would love "The Right Song" to appear

The BRIT albums always seem to somehow get artists that don't appear on Now albums though, like Macklemore a couple of times and Madonna in previous years.

Plus Adele might just be holding back 25 songs...I'm sure the BRIT Awards album compilers would have found a place for Hello if she'd let them have it.

How on Earth can you possibly state that as fact? And how would you then explain Blue kicking off Now 59?

They probably A) Thought it was going to be a huge UK No. 1, B) Part of an agreement to have it at the beginning of Disc 1, C) They just really like the song.

I don't get why they kicked off NOW 59 with Blue as it hadn't been released at the time the tracklist was announced. And also, they would usually kick off with Queen on nearly every album they appeared on

They just really like the song.

IMPOSSIBLE

The beginning of the Now albums at the time were random. The obvious song to start off that album was Call On Me, and Some Girls and What You Waiting For? weren't the biggest songs they could have used for the albums before and after.

And they say I can't make friends.

Some Girls and What You Waiting For? are awesome openers for Pop compilation albums. They knew what they were doing!

I never said that weren't (subjectively) great openers but that there were bigger hits to open the album with.
Hello could be on Now 93, similar to how Love Me Like You Do was delayed until Now 91.

Maybe the compiler was having a pure-pop loving phase as "Some Girls", "Curtain Falls", and "What You Waiting For?" are all amazing pop songs, in my opinion. Maybe the compiler was stanning hard for those tracks/popstars.

'Looking at the tracklist, 'What You Waiting For' was the best choice for Track 1 on Now 60.

Both 'Curtain Falls' and 'Some Girls' were released after the tracklist had been announced iirc, and were at the time both tipped to be Number 1.

I agree I would of had Track 1 Eric Prydz into Girls Aloud's Love Machine at Track 2.

No 'Hello' then! No 'Work' either (or 'Forever Young' but that'll be because it was such a flop rather than legal issues! :heehee:). 'Sorry' is on there though. Some odd choices with the likes of 'Stevie Knows' and 'If You Ever Wanna Be in Love' appearing, but huge yay for AlunaGeorge appearing despite falling into that category! *.* Very happy 'The Sound' and 'Faded' are on there too.
I find it odd that they didn't put Perfect on, but Olly Murs' flop single made disc 1 along with Worry...

I guess this is the first edition where the compilers of the album have finally surrendered to the crawling charts with barely any hits and are just throwing any old flop on now. With that in mind it's amazing that Louisa Johnson is missing, the ultimate snub!

Shame to see no Adele or Rihanna but in all honesty I didn't expect them to be on it.

Great for Selena! :o

I wish they'd got exclusive rights for 'Say You Do' though. :( But that'll probs be saved (and be better) for the Summer NOW. But agreed with Rich ultimately. I think they should go back to 2 editions a year. One released in May and the other in November.

Kudos for them managing to find 44 songs to put on this album. It's a nice selection, but I'm so disappointed they couldn't get Adele or Rihanna. At a stretch, "Hello" could be on NOW 94, perhaps. No Drake either, but yes for Selena, 1975, Zara, Charlie Puth and David Bowie :w00t:
