Scheisse is an absolute banger, probably my favourite non-single on BTW (and 2nd fave behind Judas)?? It's hard though because as has been said like EVERYTHING on BTW is so strong.

scheisse is great but it needs so much MORE in the chorus. the verses are her absolute best tho.

Another single now (and it's not Applause again :nocheer:). The title track from Born This Way was, for better or worse, one of the most hotly anticipated single releases EVER. It was hyped up to infinity and beyond and this obviously meant, for many, it failed to live up to expectations. The initial controversy came with the comparisons to Madonna's love yourself anthem from the 80s 'Express Yourself' - not only in subject matter but the two songs sounded very similar too! But controversy and failed expectations aside, the song is very fun and it does exactly what it sets out to do and then some. It's an empowering anthem of self-love and believing in yourself and Gaga really gave the fans what they want with it as it furthered the status of Gaga's foundation and belief in caring for the well-being of her fans and letting them live how they wanted to. The video channels Kubrick, Hitchock, Lang, Michael Jackson and many other icons, and it's totally overbaked but totally fabulous in the process *_*

'Born This Way' will always have such a special place in my heart, I was in complete awe of it at the time and still love it now.

 

'Judas' is an absolute banger. I remember feeling so underwhelmed (mainly by the chorus~) upon first listen but I love the whole package now. Especially those verses!

 

Have always found 'Scheiße' really overrated. :ph34r: Never been able to get into it. :(

4. ARTPOP 7.3103

 

At #4 is Gaga's most recent solo album, ARTPOP! This was eventually released in 2013, after what seemed like FOREVER. The lead single, being of course, Applause, being followed by Do What U Want (after initially only intending to be a promo single) and G.U.Y. The DWUW video never was released, but judging by the leak which surfaced, may have been a good thing for her career :kink: This album became known for "flopping" by many, due to it not having the anticipated commercial success. Gaga had teased the possibility of an ACT II, however I don't think she's mentioned this idea again post-2014. Personally, whilst it's not my fav Gaga album I still absolutely ADORE it. The highs of this album are incredible, and my favourite Gaga song of all time comes from it for a start. Of course a couple of songs were a disappointment but overall I still enjoy listening to this! Moreover artRAVE was one of the best nights of my life :angel:
