Who the f*** watches Docters? and if they can be nominated why cant Holby City and Casualty?

Exactly Holby City and Casualty should be nominated.

Doctors is the most dullest soap of all time.

Steven Beale looks so different to how he used to look when he was in the programme. It looks like he has grown in height as well despite being past the age of puberty.
I am waiting for one year for Doctors to just cause a massive upset and randomly win Best Actress and Actor  I know that they won Dramatic Performance one year.
Lauren just cant get enough of the D from the Beale Family  maybe Ian will be next after being with Peter and now Steven.
I think Lauren will get snogged by Bobby next and get whacked for it
So is Steven bisexual then? Or does he just switch sides like Sonia the 'lesbian'?

It does seem odd that, going off tonight's episode, the signs are suggesting we're getting a repeat of the Ben/Abi/Paul saga, just with Lauren/Steven/Johnny instead.

If those awards ever change to being voted for by the panel instead of the public, I can almost guarantee it!

I remember back in 2009, Doctors scooped up, as you mentioned, Best Dramatic Performance, Best Storyline AND Best Episode with Vivien's rape. Tbf, it did seem like a really, well-handled, emotional storyline, but I remember being annoyed it meant the episodes where Bianca finds out about Tony and Whitney's relationship went unawarded.

I think the reason Holby City/Casualty aren't included in the BSA is because they are considered a "series" instead of continuous drama, even though there's like a week or so gap in between them. I don't really consider them nor Doctors as soaps though.

I'd hope we wouldn't get a repeat storyline especially since Ben being back in the closet stretched believability as it was without Steven going back in too. It'd be good for him to be bisexual and explore that side of things. I give him a fortnight before he beds Johnny, either way.

It's surprising how the term "bisexual" is such a forbidden word in soap - characters just automatically become gay despite genuine, meaningful past relationships with people of the opposite sex. Not that I personally care much for labels, but I've always found it strange that it's still such a taboo despite the effort to make homosexuality accepted, especially when you consider the people in charge are usually LGBT.

Steven and Lauren look like such an odd couple and weird plot twist. Why? Couldn't Lauren and Peter just have simply fallen out?

I knew as soon as Steven came back with her they'd be together  It's silly though really. Bisexuality isn't really used enough in soap, rather than characters identifying themselves as bi they just flit between when the writers see fit. There's enough stigma around bisexuality as it is without soaps making it worse! They make a huge deal of coming out stories like Johnny's and yet with bi characters they just use it as a plot device for them to get with anyone and everyone.

Also why does seeemingly EVERY gay/bi male have to flirt with Johnny when they see him, it's nearly as bad as Ste in Hollyoaks

And can I just add that Sharon has absolutely no right to be angry about Gavin coming near Denny? It's completely her fault that Gavin is locked away right now.

They should kill Gavin off. He clearly isn't working.

I thought it was obvious they were going to go there the minute Donna expressed an interest in children.

Steven's return has reminded me of this scene where he shot Jane.

Jane: Oh God, Ian uh

Ian: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ()

Has anyone heard the rumours of Sophie Austin joining? Dear god I hope its not true....

She is a great actress to be fair and deserves a character that's better written than the mess that was Lindsey, hopping between brothers and suddenly turning into a psychopathic serial killer with no warning
