I respect LAV as one of her most definitive hits and the one that really put her on everyone's radar and so I enjoy it for sentimentality values and all that more than what the actual song offers. Having said that it is a belter, just doesn't compare to some of her GREATS for me.

'True Blue' hasn't lost anything since we started the top 40 :o the clear favourite as we enter the top 14 ~

Pleased, but surprised, to see Ghosttown still in it. I do feel it will go down as a Madonna classic, albeit not one anyone outside of her core fanbase will ever know.

I'll be your fire when the lights go out

Next out it's one of the most recent songs on the countdown, the second single from M's latest album 'Rebel Heart'. Ghosttown was released as part of the album's pre-order and it quickly became clear that it was going to be a real hit among the fans. Inspired by an apocalyptic landscape where the survivors only have love to hold on to, the message of the song is totally engrossing and empowering. A song that deals with such a universal and global message but presented in a heart-breakingly personal manner, it's a real gem among her recent output and it's showed here with this incredible debut. The music video tells of this apocalyptic vision and its brought to vivid realness with Madonna as the searcher of love and hope in the midst of the panic and emptiness around her. A real beauty of a song and i'm glad it had a chance to shine here. In the mad world of Madonna and her career, she is still capable of creating these masterpieces that speak volumes about the actual terrifying world around us.

Everything about Ghosttown is JUST RIGHT, apart from it being the second single. I have no such lofty ideas as to think it would have been a SMASH HIT, but I really feel like the reception/response to it/her/the album would have been markedly different. It's part 'classic' Madonna, but it's also bang up to date and 100% fantastic. Plus, the video! For her not to do it on tour was baffling and really annoyed me.
'Ghosttown' was always a clear standout on her album for me, such an amazing and haunting track that deserves recognition, I think if she came back with this album back in 2011 instead of 'MDNA', then things would or could have been different for her, both this and 'LFL' would have been more successful or at least had more of a chance and not had the damage the previous era had done to her career. But still this is an amazing song and coming from an album with mostly great material.

Ghosttown is amazing . The video for it is too. Madonna has commented thatbshebkoces this track her and her team know it is the fan favourite off the album yet they don't include it on the tour ? I really don't understand why because when she did include it or when she sung it live on television she did a grand job !!!

Chris Evans always played this and always commented how much he loved it .

Certainly my fav off rebel heart !

I know she's made some odd decisions at times but leaving this off the setlist of the tour has to be one of the weirdest and frankly stupidest? It's a song made for touring the world with - as I said in its commentary it's a universal song with global messages but one that works by dealing with personal grief and strife. I would love to know her reasoning for not including it...

Another of True Blue's incredible singles 'Open Your Heart', places at lucky 13, leaving 'Live to Tell, 'Papa Don't Preach' and 'La Isla Bonita' still to come. This is a big, 80s dance stomper, with a huge, infectious chorus and a video that showcased that iconic cone-bra - which Madonna also wore when performing the song on the Blonde Ambition tour. This was another #1 in the US and was another top 5 in the UK, peaking at #4. Though 'Open Your Heart' received 0 11s in the rate, it gained a lot of 10s, but unfortunately, its chances at hitting the top 10 here were slashed by a few mediocre scores.

Open Your Heart is a massive massive favourite for me and was soooo close to getting an 11. I wish I did give it one now seeing as no one else did. Perhaps her most feel-good song EVER.

Where's the love people?

She wore that cone bra on the who's that girl tour. A fair position for the song I reckon ! The highlight for the MDNA tour . Great track to sing a long too 😘
I did a bit of an 'awwwwww' to both of those falling out, but then I guess I'm going to say that about pretty much everything from here on in.

I have a tale to tell

12. Live to Tell // True Blue // 8.56

(2: 🌚🌚🌚 5: harryflynn0908, 360Jupiter 6: NickF1 // 11: Mango, notfurlong, Bjork 10: vibe, Regina, Kylie Jackson, Maurice, Qween, Alejandjob, Jay, jark, liamk97)

By the point of the release of Live to Tell, Madonna was a worldwide icon, known for her huge pop tunes and outrageous style. Yet, instead of continuing the look and sound everyone loved her for, she scrapped the whole image and embarked on her first reinvention. She adopted a much cleaner look, with golden blonde hair and subtle make-up, to match her maturer sound, full of drama and dark connotations. She refers to a secret she has buried deep; something she longs to confess and be able to deal with but cannot due to the damage this experience has had on her. It's something we can all relate to in some way or another, which is why the song has so much impact, despite the subject matter remaining anonymous - it is for the listener to put forward their interpretation and think about it when Madonna speaks of her secret with her, yet again, emotion-filled delivery. I believe this is the point where Madonna became more than just a huge pop star; where she authorised her position as complex artist who could bring the gritty realities of life into commercial pop music.

Just caught up with this and omg didnt realise how much low scores I gave

The songs are not even bad just have not heard them in a while but I love them just dont hear enough  Espically Open Your Heart and Express Yourself
