I hope you've listened to the track and realised she doesn't screech at all in it. In fact, a number of years ago you even said she she go back to her rap roots :P

How's that for 'tryna be Adele'?

Speaking of Electro Velvet, apart from Josh Dobovie ( ) I think “Still in Love with You” the only UK entry to not make the Top 100 (dropping 114-156 in the week of the broadcast!)

Warra flop.

Didn't expect Pink to do so well with this one, considering that apart from social media posts, there hasn't really been any promo for this song. I guess Radio One have helped this a lot though :D And I expect it to carry on doing well once the movie is out as well :D

come on you want more promo than being R1's TOTD?? what promo you think the other OAOS newies had?

Callum #21 now! Great cover of a great great song!

I have no idea, I don't really follow charts. I didn't even know about the whole friday release thing until Pink released this track.

When Pink released BMOLK she did a mini promo tour of US radio stations, she came over to Europe for promo gigs, she also went to Australia where they are crazy about her anyway, she did interviews and was featured in magazines etc. She did similar promo for lead singles from other albums. As this is a soundtrack I don't expect that level of promo, which is why I'm surprised JLF is doing so well. It's great for her.

Pink released at a time when promo meant more than a few spins on Radio 1. Given not everyone on here even listens to Radio 1, do you really think being track of the day will mean much to them?

I'm more gobsmacked that Radio 1 are giving Pink the time of day. She's been going to 16 years, is 36 years old and hasn't released an album for almost 4 years. That's usually when they decide not to bother, especially with a female artist.

why's Calum Scott suddenly high in the iTunes chart again? (#17 now). It would be disappointing if the song ended up being bigger than Robyn's brilliant original version.

Also sad to see Disciples yet to break the top 40 :( I thought David Guetta's name would give them a decent first-week chart placing.

I think it helps that her music is a bit more rock-pop and so more in line with R1's desired output. Also, I think Pink benefits from not being perceived along the same lines as the other female mega stars like Rihanna/Katy Perry/Gaga etc as if there is a flop along the line, there's not that level of focus in the media/by radio as there would be for those other artists.

I haven't had a night out at uni without hearing That's Not Me! Usually that awful mash-up they have with Intoxicated.

Is it bad that I thought that mash-up was created in a club in my town and only ever played there?!

I actually quite like it tbh, even though, like you, it is played without fail every Saturday night. Plus a Florence/Destiny's Child 'Say My Name' mash-up.

But you have to remember, that was back in the days when singles were held back. So the promo would be focussed on the couple of weeks leading up to release. In this new era of OA/OS, virtually every single is unheard until it's released, so if P!nk is going to do any promo for the single then she'll probably do it in the next few weeks, leading up to single's impact date (whenever that might be). I'm guessing the video will be released in a couple of weeks too.

Deserved though. Gotta be our most embarrassing act ever.

I know you'd probably prefer to forget the existence of Jemini, but that was a thing that happened.

Not even two episodes into BGT and Say Something has already been used in full. GO AWAY.
