I reckon three Offside. The scorpion that would have been an utter crime to disallow and probably two ibra goals. I'd highly doubt its as high as 8 unless you include the ones that were wrongly chalked off for offside when they were onside. It's about a 50/50 split on shite goal decisions.

Number of penalties that have been wrongly given is probably 1 but the number ignored is about 7.

It's been a fairly grim year for refereeing standards. The quality has largely been so poor. We've escaped with some baffling choices, like the two time Rojo should have been dismissed in a row at the end of 2016. I think objectively we've come off worse this year for decisions.

If even half this shit had happened to Liverpool the FA would have been firebombed before Xmas

The equaliser against Liverpool was offside in the build up!!!!!

What Jark said in the previous post is also telling. It's true. Look at the Liverpool-Everton Derby games, Barkley should have been sent off in both games for absolutely horrendous challenges. I know we won both games, but still. I would always say on the balance of things, things do even themselves out but Man Utd have definitely had a lot of luck this season. All the bigger teams get more favorable decisions. But again as Jark said, Man Utd's problem is they just don't see the problem. The squad is littered with average players and trying to buy all the best players in the world rarely works. I don't know what Mourinho works on the training ground.

Nobody knows who will finish where next season, I don't think anyone foresaw Chelsea going 1-10-1 over the past 2 or 3 seasons so just because we're flopping now doesn't automatically mean the same thing will happen next season.

While we're on the subject of next season does Man United not challenging for the title mean that Liverpool will win their first title in 28 years or will Arsenal win their first title in 14 years?

Even as a West Ham fan I can admit it'd be pretty funny if we got relegated. The owners did say they want to take us to another level...

However I don't think they will. Either Bilic will be sacked or they'll pull a win out from somewhere.

Good to see back on the Sports forum, ML Hammer95.

I don't see how they gone another level well another level downwards. The Olympic stadium and it could be hosting Championship matches next season. Bilic to go if their form doesn't improve.

But you're flopping for the same reasons every year. Buying players cos they're big names rather than players who fit the squad. I don't think you have that bad a squad, but it's painfully average with so much dross, which is now where near a time able to compete for the Premier League and Champions League (Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City) are guilty of this too. If you take Ibra away from this team you would probably be in 8th place.

I don't think Liverpool are too far away. Our problem is we struggle against teams who play it simple. Our current squad and setup doesn't work well against this. If Klopp learns from his mistakes this year and is able to switch up formations to add some more depth then I could see us challenging properly. The question is whether he learns to be more pragmatic at times and has the funds available to do this.

Tbh I'm surprised Billic hasn't already been sacked. West Ham are in real danger right now.

Sullivan & co have a history of not sacking managers they did the same with Birmingham over 10 years ago but they went down lol!

Don't think West Ham are in any danger of going down this season they realistically only need 2 more wins & I'm pretty confident they'll beat Swansea at home this weekend.

Houdini makes a good point there considering how catastrophic Chelsea's season was last year you wouldn't have seen many punting for them to win the title this season. Anything & everything can change from one season to the next.

The boss finally praised Shaw! 🙌 Thought he was class midweek. Didn't catch this match as I was on an airport run but I've been told he was decent and hell if he's finally been praised by Jose it must have been a good performance!!

I wonder how long it will be until Sunderland are officially relegated? 10 points from safety now and I doubt that they will come straight back unless they get rid of David Moyes.
Mathematically they are still in the hunt for survival but let's be honest. The writing was on the wall the day Moyes took charge. There's no way they stay up, even with a manager change

They were down since Allardyce left. I wonder what he might have been able to do with them if he'd had 2-3 years in charge.

Moyes wouldn't be a disaster in the Championship. I assume they'll stick with him just to ensure they don't start properly tumbling.

Sunderland have been battling relegation for years. It was always just a matter of which manager happened to be in charge when they finally went down.

3-0 now! It seems like Arsenal want the 6th place that we've kept warm for them most of the season

I may as well post the Prediction competition results now seeing as no one predicted Palace to beat Arsenal and there's no way back for the gooners now!

Crazy what a few wins can do, this time 2 months ago Palace were getting hammered 4-0 by Sunderland, now they're a win away from climbing into the top half of the table.

Looking pretty certain now it's all down to Hull vs Swansea for the last relegation spot, can't see anyone else being dragged back in, Bourno maybe.
