I'm sure United fans were able to laugh when Liverpool failed to win the league in 2014, despite finishing 7th yourselves.

I doubt the United fans were laughing that much considering Manchester City won the league instead. :P

In 2014 most fans were overjoyed at the end of the season, but that was because Moyes got fired.

I'm not making any predictions about next year. It depends entirely on how Spurs start at Wembley and if Liverpool go out and spend the money they need to spend to add the depth and quality to their squad required to play 50 games. Also what happens at Arsenal. If Wenger stays they could pull a Chelsea/Leicester. (honestly someone needs to start sacking these arseholes to discourage other teams following suit. When you're paid millions of pounds a year I don't give a f*** what you think of the manager, you still go out there and work your bloody arse off for your team)

Laughing at the misfortune of others is one of the ways to enjoy what has by all accounts been a miserable season. I'm sure United fans were able to laugh when Liverpool failed to win the league in 2014, despite finishing 7th yourselves.

I find United particularly amusing because you deluded yourselves into thinking that you had it in you for a title challenge this season, and spent the money to match.

That is one of the greatest pleasures of supporting a team like West Ham... laughing at the misfortune of the 'top clubs'. Personally, that's true especially for Arsenal, Chelsea (the start of last season was such a treat), Liverpool and Man United.

True, but Liverpool haven't ever won the Premier League - I think the schadenfreude was off the scale when it was Stevie G (of all people) whose slip cost them the league.

I always find this funny, cos it always sounds like Sky invented the Premier League :D

You're hard to beat - but come off it, the referee helped you a way along the unbeaten run! I just think Mourinho misses the point. It's not about the best players, its about the best team. I could possibly see you challenging (mind you if you look back at the "experts" half of them had you down as title winners!) but still far away from winning the league. Not enough goals in your team.

I would say 100m more spent this summer on 2 players will do the job, Griezzman being one of them will do the trick!

£200m for 3 players is more likely. £275m for 4 if we lose Ibra.

We will get some cash in this summer though. Few bits of trash going out like Rooney and if Real do come for De Gea it'll cost them a mint

Doubtful, Mourinho's teams have never been full of attacking prowess. I don't think Grizemann will go there personally. The Man Utd PR machine is already in full spin regarding summer signings.

Rooney will leave, but I'd be surprised if he brought you any money. Got to remember he is on 300k a week, there is going to be some financial loss there somewhere as I can't see him leaving to the MLS or China just yet, at least not until after Russia 2018.

Even if the English top division was always known and branded as the Premier League it's been 27 years since Liverpool were last champions of England.

There's always been a strong rivalry between Liverpool & Man United though, it's arguably the biggest in English football.

To some sets of fans West Ham's battle to avoid getting relegated and Dimitri Payet's refusal to play for the club could be considered amusing as well.

Incredibly so, even I have to laugh sometimes. It usually requires more wit than "lol you're not as good as Man United".

Yeah, West Ham are so funny sometimes especially with our deluded owners who find the most obscure players and there always seems to be something going on! Part of the reason they're such a good club to support.
Which players who signed in the summer transfer window last year would you consider has been a flop?

Pogba, Lucas Perez, Jordan Ibe (I knew he would be terrible tho), Janssen, Zaza (worst of the lot), Bravo, Sissoko

The way the media went on about 'Pogba' it was almost he as if he was going to be the saviour for Man United.

Pogba has taken a lot of stick but I don't think he's been an outright flop. He hasn't performed to his Juve standard of course but there's still plenty of time yet. It's the price tag that people always bring up but he had no say in that! I'd say our 4 main signings this year haven't been too bad compared to previous seasons for once!

Zaza definitely the worst buy, the warnings signs were there after that penalty.

I don't really get why Wenger hasn't used Perez more.

The only upside to Zaza was that he was a loan signing, so ended up being a lot less expensive that some of those others. Still awful though.

A strange one in Perez there from Wenger. Xhaka has had nearly more yellow cards than goals since he joined Arsenal.
